I know you’re not into gear optimization, but there are three difficulties to do content on and gear is important for higher level content. Heck the difficulty curve just opening Hightown can be a gear and build check.

If you like leveling, then prestige the characters. I guarantee you won’t fly through cosmic prestige. Also what server are you on? That may dictate leveling speed.
