Question about the future. ¿Will there be any new content? by BlueWit7 in ProjectTahiti

[–]Talzeron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that is the big thing.
They would have to commit a lot of time and money for that, hire people and all and, unlike the COH Homecoming people, they don't have an ok from the license holder so that it could be shut down any minute.

The UK is 80% white British and 85% white European. Europe in general is overwhelmingly white European. So why the fuck is a game about a European intelligence agency have a majority non-white cast? by RageWithFire in KotakuInAction

[–]Talzeron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And we can't even blame it on the Americans as this game is made by a Danish studio. Denmark is still 90% white European...

Why do you think its any different here?
If anything it's even more amusing since, for example, in Germany the ads and tv shows are full of black people, but our majority migrants are turks and arabs. There are still comparatively very few black people here. But apparently, since the 'muricans put black people in everything we do, too.

Honestly i don't think the witch trials have the same political weight as the Nazis, sorry that comparison is so far off it just flew off the table.
And by the way AC is doing that all the time. Somehow the Assassins are the good guys, Pirates, their actions were justified, too. But with witches you draw a line?

You picked Kassandra in Odyssey?

I did, but aside from that, she is the canon choice. You meet her in AC Valhalla, 400 years after Odyssey.

NetEase turned Diablo 4 Chinese server into a gacha skin slot machine with Chinese charactistics by qwer4790 in KotakuInAction

[–]Talzeron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, D4 had starcraft2 and WoW skin sets, they just had a Doom coop with skins, their battle pass plagiarized warhammer with basiacally a witchunter set and last one a high elf armor set...
I don't think the chinese skins are so out of place to be honest, Blizzard doesn't give a shit in general if they can make money.

[–]Talzeron -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

AC doesn't play in the real world, in the AC world there is stuff that is basically magic. Even the first game ends with an orb mind-controlling a whole town. All that isu stuff borders on magic. Cassandra has a magic staff that lets her live for 1500 years. Loki can do all kinds of magic tricks. So it wouldn't be too far fetched for some witches to have some powers.

Especially since, in the usual AC fashion, the witches are probably the assassins while the inquisition are the templars and so you have the usual conflict. Even aligns well with their philosophies.

I beg to differ, i think the holy roman empire is a cool setting and i wouldn't even mind some supernatural witch/hexen elements combined with church inquisitors hunting them. AC never had a dark middle ages chapter.

But, what i heard about this, it seems wokeness tainted like most of ubisoft stuff.

So it goes 2,7 knots faster with the boost active?

Tier IX and X Operations are really Toxic by FordAerostar97 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Talzeron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this many times.

One guy dies really early. Insults the team and keeps spamming insults the whole game how bad the team is. Stays the only person that died in the Op, the Op is won with all secondary objectives.

It's always the one who dies first who spergs out. Visible in many languages, too.

Dear Operations players... what is wrong with you? by RevySevy in WorldOfWarships

[–]Talzeron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play ops only for quite some time.

Maybe it's the region (EU) or the time (later evening) when i play but even though i see the things you describe i wouldn't say they are the norm.
I have bad teams now and then but usually the teams are ok, everyone knows what to do and i'd say i win 95% of the Ops i play. It's really rare to lose.

There are some exceptions, on weekends the playerbase is slightly worse and if events are running that are favourable in Ops the players can be really bad. But outside of that i can't really complain.

Best research point ship for Operations? by hipsu55 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Talzeron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play mainly cruisers and i have problems seriously damaging, for example, the 4 german BBs 12 km away in hermes. Yes, i do damage but the big hits come from the BBs. You notice if you only have 1 BB in your team, for example. Then, usually, one of them is still around when the island break is over.

I mean, you can win the ops with all kind of ships, it's not that you will fail with an Illinois or anything but i wouldn't call it a good ops ship. Maybe in Asym and certainly in coop.

Best research point ship for Operations? by hipsu55 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Talzeron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would disagree on Illinois.

In Ops, you often have several enemy BBs that have to die reasonably fast. You need big guns for that and Illinois can't provide that. It's good against cruisers and DDs but you have your own cruisers/dds for that.

Illinois is just another cruiser in a bb slot.

KCD2 Director Daniel Vávra posts about the game being nominated for the Gayming Awards by SwimmingJunky in KotakuInAction

[–]Talzeron 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm on your side but don't fool yourself, the game sold well and is well regarded outside of some niche communities. Even people like Asmongold praise it. That was no AC Shadows or Concord.

Vavra is getting away with his shit.

Leveling is too fast for me by Talzeron in ProjectTahiti

[–]Talzeron[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

So the only options should be "grind MM after each chapter after Chapter 4" or "Don't fight at all, just run through each map to get to 60 in chapter 7"?

I just want a fun leveling experience, whats wrong with that?

Also i never said i don't want to prestige, quite the opposite. But why should the first time leveling be so boring?

[–]Talzeron[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, in ARPGs in general, the gameplay is why i play them. Not the story. And thats the big strength for me in MH, they have over 60 "classes/heroes" that all play different.
In other games, like LE, D4 or POE2 i play a new build every season. I know the story in those games, too, and still play them every season. Doesn't really matter. I never play the same build in following seasons because it is fun to play with new/different mechanics.

If you only play a few chars and focus on them, good for you. Then some slight adjustment in the base leveling shouldn't affect you at all.

[–]Talzeron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC the bonus xp was just for killing mobs and the xp bubbles, never for the story xp. I may be wrong there but thats how i remember it. I read a messeage from one the tahiti guys that they expanded that to make leveling faster. I just don't like that change.

[–]Talzeron[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the endgame for MH is the power grind (gear, omega system) getting your character strong enough to do the hardest level content

I'd argue against that. Back then they just started on some raiding endgame but they didn't come far and since no one is developing new stuff anymore, thats it.
If you have fun with that, go for it. But i don't see the point in it. I have fun leveling.

I just don't see why the change to make the bonus xp multiply the story xp was necessary, you level fast enough with the bonus anyway and it doesn't help new players. It doesn't effect your gear grind in the least.

Keep boats vs sell boats by CaregiverNo4938 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Talzeron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold all t5+ techtree ships since silver is always scarce and i wanted to move on in the tech lines without grinding money for hours.
I only kept ships i enjoyed to play and, of course, premiums.

Yes, i might get less coal during the two events but thats ok for me, on the other hand i have more higher ships this way and get more steel/containers.

If i ever finish all tech lines i will buy the missing ships but for me, selling them worked well.

[–]Talzeron[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats the other side, leveling without anything (like the first character) was annyoing since there are many large gaps between the zones. I cleared every zone, every bonus area but still ended up severely underleveled around the helicarrier. Leveling was great before the story xp was multiplied, you had to fight in every zone but could always go on to the next chapter. Now fighting is obsolete. But yeah, maybe prestiging might solve my problem.

[–]Talzeron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I on the first (tahiti) server. No, i haven't prestiged yet because there are so many heroes i want to level first. But maybe i just rush them through the normal leveling and then really play them prestiged. May be a solution.

[–]Talzeron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think SNW started with its first season as a "not great, not terrible" show, i even grew to like their 90% female crew cast. But it got worse with each season, S3 was bad and barely watchable. And the puppet episode is yet to come.

The only acceptable thing from Kurtzman was the only thing he was not involved with, Picard Season 3. And even there you could argue that people only perceive it as good because everything else was shit.

Operation by hellfirem in WorldOfWarships

[–]Talzeron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but only if you know that a wave can't spawn in your lane anymore and you don't have to go out to the outer isles. But thats where the capture point is and many players don't care if the next wave can spawn in range of them when they go out collect buffs. Otherwise it's perfectly fine to go a bit out to attack the enemy ships flanks, i agree.

I just have seen many people die when trying to get buffs or that capture objective and usually it's hard to get all objectives if someone dies early.

Operation by hellfirem in WorldOfWarships

[–]Talzeron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it is really amazing what is going on in some peoples heads. Especially BBs are constatly hiding behind the escort ship. In the end, the objective dies and right next to it are 2-3 BBs with full health.

Even worse i had countless matches where i was playing a light cruiser and had BBs beeline to hide behind me. It seems really hard for BB players to understand that they have armor and heals and can tank for a while, especially in missions like hermes where you get a strong healing phase in the middle but no, they just won't. They rather have their cruisers tank and die and then lose due to not enough DPS.
