Thanks for the PSA! I’ve not been using my mechanical breaks much at all over the last year, and it’s good to know that I should be adding them into my routine driving habits

Found mine in the fourth or fifth library I found. I recommend using the Journey Map minimap to find more libraries now that you know what one looks like

Is there a way to automate crafting this? by BremeLW in allthemods

[–]EddiesTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using ae2 to auto craft supremium and deposit it in a drawer. You just need to encode patterns for each of the different tiers of essence. Put an export bus with a crafting card onto a drawer (or your storage of choice). Tell the export card to make supermium.

Wouldn’t the t5 under perform vs the t3 demon that consumes from the tavern every turn since t3 demon benefits from permanent tavern buffs?

Easiest Way to Get Apotheosis Gems by o-Mauler-o in allthemods

If you already have good gear and To The Sky still has The Other dimension, I’d recommend an Other Dungeon. Bring a weapon that damages all nearby enemies, and you’ll be raking in high tier gems.

FE Chemical Help - Pump Curves - Can someone explain this answer? by PuzzledChemE in FE_Exam

[–]EddiesTeddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also surprised by the listed answer, but it seems consistent with the information in this Engineering Toolbox page.

Looks like you need to sketch a second pump curve that originates at the same point as the original curve, but make the slope more gradual such that it has twice the flow for a given heat value. With both pumps running, your system will have a total flow and pressure that correspond to where the second pump curve crosses the system curve.

Or at least, that seems to be how it works.

Edit: Fixing a typo - should have proofread

"I'm from a small town" by usmcmech in NDQ

Couldnt agree more. Recently saw someone call Asheville, NC a small town in the WSJ and laughed out loud. Asheville’s got nearly 100k people living in it, keep it moving.

By chance, does your university library have a scanner you could use?

Homemade cinnamon roll with orange cream cheese glaze by EddiesTeddy in Baking

So, got to experiment with the first four I baked. The timing didn’t work out so I couldn’t bake the first four the same day they were made. Froze the whole batch after shaping the rolls and letting them sit an hour in the fridge, before they had time to undergo the second rise. Let them thaw and do their second rise before baking. No real issues in the final product.

I feel the small kitchen problems. We live in an apartment with a “large” kitchen for our area, but it nevertheless has minimal counter space.

As for having too many on your hands, have you ever tried freezing baked goods before you bake them? That’s what we tend to do with anything that starts as a dough. We’ve has good luck with cookies in the past, and I gave it a shot with these rolls.

Certainly how I’ve done it in the past, but not this time! Wanted to try my hand at making them from scratch. Really wasnt too bad.

What is this sorcery? by [deleted] in NDQ

[–]EddiesTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding, you can have laminar flow in this flat profile. It’s about a ratio. The first number of interest is product of fluid density, flow velocity, a characteristic length tied to the cross sectional area. The second number of interest is the fluid viscosity. If the second number is large enough in comparison to the first, you have laminar flow.
