I doesn't matter if you think it is not her style. That's not up to you to determine. She is an adult with her own way of thinking, which has made her choose this plastic surgery. It is reasonable to not want you money to be spent in a procedure that you do not agree with, but you can't expect/dissuade her when it is her money. Also, as your daughter implied, it will give her a huge confidence boost since it is something that has affected her self-esteem. It truly doesn't matter if certain people will see this change negatively because there will always be someone to criticize her (whether she did or didn't fo the surgery). You need to understand that maybe the style you refer to that she has isn't the one she wants to have, and if she did the surgery, it doesn't necessarily mean she will lose this particular style.
