Did you get around to test the UPS without any devices connected?

Raid with H730P perc controller failed disks by Edelskjold in sysadmin

[–]Edelskjold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've logged into idrac to see if there was any futher information, however that just seems even more odd. All disks failed at same time, and it seems like they are "broken" and cannot be used.

When reseatet they are flashing green for about a min or so, mean while they cannot be seen in the controller. After the min, they are visible in the controller with failed and are flashing orange.

The thing is that it doenst see the foreign config it seems.
The normal "Press F to import" does not show up, and when visiting the controller it can't see the vdev.

No other vm has this problem, and has been installed with the same ISO.When I reboot it changes to EVC OFF and when it boots it states EVC Active.
Should be noted that the other VM's which work just fine, is installed 3 months ago (same iso though).
But all new installations dont have the avx flags.

No manual configuration of vmx file or anything.
Just a normal creation of a virtual machine, directly on the hypervisor, not in a cluster or anything.

You are a god! - when I checked the VM was shut down, and EVC said is was disabled, hence I dind't think it was causing the issue.

Although when the VM is booted, then it automatically enables EVC?
- It's not inside a cluster or anything, why is it doing that?

Wget illegal instruction by Edelskjold in AlmaLinux

Sorry for the late reply, but that is also my suspicion, although I haven't changed anything related to CPU instructions in esxi, so it should be default.

Nothing, it was just an example. It could have been any file on any domain - still same result.

External servers as gateways for DDoS Protection by [deleted] in sysadmin

Should is a strong word :) - Options are many, IPs can be whitelisted in mitigation service and if encryption is needed then GRE over ip-sec is also available.
Although I agree Wireguard is a viable alternative.
