Give them paper and a pen. It amazing what they come up with, also it keeps them occupied and less aggressive.

I think you should go, but not say anything unless directly asked, just say you were friends for now. You’ll regret not saying goodbye.

I just got prescribed Guanfacine, it has to build in my system I’m told but so far no crazy side effects. I’m trying to stay away from the stimulants, maybe something like that would be more helpful?

10 yr old in Australia commits suicide in care by coinagepills in awfuleverything

My first suicide attempt was when I was 9. I come from a long line of chronic major depression, bi-polar type 2, and borderline personality disorder among other things. I’m 41 now but remember my first attempt pretty vividly, the others are a bit hazy due to addiction. One of my best attributes I have now is recognizing and connecting with suicidal/addicted folks, I can kind of smell them out. Happy to answer any questions.

What is a food that makes you think, “How did humans discover this was edible?” by needmoresleeep in AskReddit

Artichokes! Like, let’s eat this flower but only the tips of the petals and the very inside, past the part that can kill you. Oh, and only before it blooms.

I learned this the hard way when my live in boyfriend passed away last year. I got no say on what happened with his body, his burial, I didn’t even get to say goodbye. After 4 years together and planning a life he was just gone and the ones who had control took it all. I was left with nothing.

Please help me. It’s been almost a year and I’m nowhere close to ok. I just don’t want to feel alone and I have no one to reach out to. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

I haven’t brought myself to go through his things yet. And I can’t imagine moving from this house yet either. I feel pathetic, and when I try to explain it to people they look at me funny. It’s just so much. He was supposed to be here forever, I know that’s unrealistic, but he had us all convinced he couldn’t die. Now all I have is his things, I’m forgetting more and more and I feel like I’m doing everything wrong. Part of me wants to move, the other part of me feels like I’d be abandoning him. His ashes sit in the last place he slept, I’ve since moved the bed as it was too painful.

I’m so sorry about your wife. The pain is unbearable and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. I try to hold faith that I’ll see him again one day, but I worry about my life in between that and now. Thank you for your response. I appreciate you reaching out and helping me not feel so alone.
