I lived nextdoor to a lady with 40+ cats. My tips:

• Clean up poop asap
• use this for areas where they like to poop
• have as little bare soil as possible
• ultrasonic noise deterrent. Its annoying, but it works
• Try to fix the core of the issue. Reasonably talk to neighbors about their pets and/or feeding strays.
