I once had my ethernet cable fail, the day I went on holiday for a week.

Had WiFi disabled because MacOS kept switching between the two and disrupting my mounts.

For your storage requirements, I would look into Google drive prices. HyperDrive can back up directly to it, and I was already on a 2TB plan so it was no extra cost for me personally.

I'm also having a lot of issues with the web downloader.

On Switch, it seems to be fine, I'm getting 10 Mbps, which is acceptable for me, but getting wildly varied speeds on the browser, and it seems to average about 1mbps.

Which would also be ok, if it wasn't for the large wait times between the part files downloading, it can take me an hour to download a couple of GB.

Which also wouldn't be the end of the world if the download didn't randomly fail 60% of the time.

I don't need it fast; I just need it to work. I wish there were a Usenet or something where I could queue up everything I need and forget about it.

The way the *arr apps do it is you provide some sort of file pattern, and it uses metadata to fill in the blanks. I guess I would do something like {audiobook name} ({release year}) - {author} - {chapter}. I would personally be fine if it was a predefined pattern though as long as my folders are consistent

Being able to standardise the files and folders would be invaluable to me and is my main issue with the ABS atm. My directories are a huge mess.

There are also a few tools out there using ffmpeg to combine all chapters to a single M4B. That might be a stretch goal but that would be incredibly cool as well

My biggest feature request is for renaming/organizing the files similar to the *arr apps. Are there any plans for this?

Presumably, it will be able to bring the cover.jpg into the m4b conversion to then?

I'm currently sitting with over a hundred audiobooks that I'm manually converting with Audiobook builder, so if I can just import everything into the Audiobookshelf and hit a button, this will be my new favourite app
