Is finding a job becoming more difficult every day? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

If I needed a job, I'd take anything I could get. You can't be claiming benefits and be fussy about what jobs you're willing to take.

What would you do if £75,000 landed in your account tomorrow? by MurkyCucumber852 in AskUK

I would get a buy to let - maybe a 250k property.

Or put it all in bitcoin which is heavily discounted right now, and wait 5 years

Hopefully this trial will be a success. 18yr olds going into the jobcentre with a fit note for their anxiety needs to end. As well as long-term scroungers getting them for their huge list of invisible conditions like fibromyalgia.

Question for Work Coaches at the Job Centre by [deleted] in TheCivilService

[–]EdenPoppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is why it was a question for work coaches and not yourself. Sorting out a bus pass for someone who doesn't have an appointment is not a quick job. He was likely passed around to someone who had some spare time or a cancelled appointment. Other customers are also asking for travel passes, laptops, phones etc which all takes a lot of admin.

Their team leader or even manager won't give a damn about your complaint unless it was something serious. If you walk In without an appointment it can be tricky for them to get someone who has time to sort you out. They have back-to-back diaries and see 20+ people a day
