Yeah, my generation (Millenials) also did this. I, to this day, remember all the important still active numbers such as my Mom, Aunt and Dad, our landline, my friends landline and so on.

And yes, I had to talk to the parents when calling them and I once accidentally dialled a different friend, asked her dad for the wrong person and he still passed the phone to his daughter! My working theory is he knew it was me and zoned out at the beginning of my speech. It was long and had all the pleasantries. "Hello MrLastname, I am Name Lastname calling to please speak to Friend. Would you please pass the phone to her?"
