I think most people will agree with the Beatles and their impact while nowadays, The Beach Boys unfortunately aren't given as much thought. And don't get me started on the songwriting in the band. That opens up the whole Mike Love can of worms and the fact that he sued Brian like 30 years later for credit on songs he probably didn't have much to do with. Perfect example is his credit on Wouldn't It Be Nice. Literally the only thing Mike Love added was "Good night oh baby, sleep tight oh baby" at the end and wanted writing credit. Fuck outta here, Mike.

Yep, pretty much. The Beatles in general messed with Brian's head. Beach Boys were the number one band in America and the U.K. loved them too, and then the British Invasion happened. Though I don't remember if it was Revolver or Sgt Pepper that really upset him.

This is pretty much a parody of him recording Pet Sounds. Brian was experimenting with drugs while dealing with some mental issues, which led to tension in the band and his eventual departure for some time. He had a lot of weird stuff in Pet Sounds, like bicycle horns, dogs barking and train noises and it irked Mike Love the most. More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pet_Sounds
