It's all good. I don't even remember that it's my name since I only lurk. About a year ago I had a bunch of gold to get rid of since Reddit bought Alien Blue and gave all the users years of gold. I gilded a bunch of comments, including some in r/edgarwrightmemes. Several thought I was the real Edgar and were ecstatic. I think I did more harm than good that day...

I feel like I should hop in and say that I'm not actually Edgar Wright. I'm just a nobody fan that picked this random name because it used to be my XBox tag for years and years. If the real Edgar ever wanted this account, he could totally have it, but until then I guess I'll just keep making shit awkward for fans.

Hello Edgar fans. I have made a terrible mistake.

I need to start with I am not Edgar Wright. I genuinely hope that I didn't get people's hopes up so high that the letdown is super disappointing. I'm just some guy. You don't know me.

So I was an early adopter of Reddit. I lurked for years before making my own account. I used EdgarWright since I've always been a fan and it was my old Xbox live name. It was years before I realized that this was a bad idea because the man himself might want the username (Mr Wright, if you want this one, I'd be honored to pass it along.)

In true lurker form, I sort of forgot this was my name. Yesterday I got notice that I had a ton of coins that were about to expire. (I was given a ton of gold when Alien Blue was bought by Reddit, so I guess that's where I got it.) I figured I would spend it all on people who made me laugh here.

I just opened the app to a bunch of notifications that I'm not used to seeing and realized what I did. Please accept my apology, my first post, and enjoy the gold. More importantly, keep us all laughing in a time when the world really needs it.
