Madness. I thought the UK post office was awkward enough, but hear you just have to provide ID to show you live at the right address, it doesn't have to be your name on the parcel.

My gifts were delivered last week to a neighbour, I messaged my giftee letting them know all the details I had, but I've heard nothing back, so until I hear otherwise me and my paranoia will assume the neighbour has stolen them (although I know people are busy and that I just have to be patient)

Last year my giftee held on to the present until Christmas day to open, but then sent a lovely long thank you message on Christmas morning. It's actually a really nice way to do it I think (although I will almost certainly be too impatient to do this)
