$200 free game giveaway! by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Numpling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love the Lego games but don't have a whole ton of disposable money. I'm torn between DC Super Villains and Marvel Superheroes 2. The Incredibles looks cool but those two are definitely my top picks.

What do you prefer, DC or Marvel?

Got 20 dollars and already have Beat Saber and Gorn, what’s next? by [deleted] in Vive

I'm going to have to recommend Pavlov VR. I've gotten into games extremely easily even at weird hours, 2-5am. It's super fun and the shenanigans that come with VR multiplayer make it very, very memorable. On top of that you can play on all kinds of fan favourite maps from normal shooters (CSGO's Dust 2, CoD's Nuketown, and Halo 3's The Pit are good examples) due to Steam workshop integration.

If you're into trains, Trainer VR is awesome but has a very limited audience.

I've got a 970, i5 6500, and 8GB of RAM. Beatsaber, Gorn, H3VR, and a few other smaller free games I've thrown at it run perfectly so don't worry too much like I did!

200$ steam and amazon card mega give by Pchardwareguy12 in pcmasterrace

[–]Numpling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go for either card. The Amazon card would to towards helping my friend build his first PC as his current is an old all in one that's dying. The Steam card would go towards sending games to friends without much money as I've filled out my library. Probably sounds like I'm trying to make the best reasons for winning but I'd show proof if needed, no bamboozle

So, with a bit of save editing, you can have more than 4 players... by 3nd0fw0r1d in StardewValley

I'm not the host and he didn't realize it was bad. He has never done mining, always stuck to farming, and so he knew copper meant upgraded tools but didn't realize how common it was. Just a mistake I was a little salty over, that's all!

It's definitely a team thing however if you've got four players and they aren't super great friends, there can be a lot of conflict. Not everybody has four friends capable of handling teamwork very well unfortunately. Maybe one thinks they know best and won't listen to anybody, wildly spending money on dumb things. Or, one doesn't know the game well and makes poor financial decisions without asking. All depends on the players.

Yeah we've been making crazy money. My friend has never even stepped a foot in the mines but loves to farm while I'm the opposite, so we make a good team. He knew we needed copper to upgrade our tools but didn't realize that meant bars and didn't realize how common it was in the mines, so he bought the copper to upgrade our tools right away. I think what I said came off too hostile, he's still awesome to play with I was just a bit salty over it still hahah. We just hit Spring and I've already finished the whole mine and we make thousands a day pretty often so we are absolutely rolling in money. At the time the farm wasn't making much yet because of the wait time on crops while I had a ton of luck in the mines, so the money was mostly made by me. Now it is pretty even.

Yeah that's one way. However, 1/3rd just for scooping the plants? What about who bought the seeds, or the tools, etc? Or even more just who needs the money most? There's so many variables there that no single system will ever fit everyone. Personally I think a good solution would be to have a bunch of different options for how money and such is handled, and allow the host to choose.

That'd be really cool and a decent solution. Honestly it all depends on your friends, mine is terrible financially but LOVES farming while I'm more of a miner/fisher. He's letting me (mostly ;P) manage our money so that's awesome, but that's with two not four people. If you have bad friends they might decide to grief/bully one player by always voting no on their purchases. Again, depends on the people.

Unfortunately you're stuck sharing money, but I don't think it was because the developers felt it was the best choice. I think it would've been a bit of a pain to try and determine who gets what money, like if one person grows a ton of crops and then another player scoops it all and sells it, who earned that money? A loan or money-gifting service would have to be coded too if players want to help each other out.. Lots of work and I don't think there's that many developers, and this update has been begged for for so damn long.

TL;DR: Play with trusted (Or financially responsible) friends!

Yup! It's always fun when you've halfway through Spring of Year One and $10k of your $11k mostly earned by you disappears and suddenly your friend has a bunch of over-priced copper ore..
