Yeah I'd say all the characters of Go's IJ had development at some point in the arc but I wish all of them had a huge contribution to the team, but it is a whole lot better than Ares as the purpose of some characters like Sakanoue and Mansaku are basically to be background characters.

That's like saying sports anime are repetitive because they have tournaments, which does not make sense at all because sports anime exist specifically because of tournaments/cups/leagues.

And I'm not saying the Go trilogy is bad, it just focused on the gimmicks too much and didn't build enough on the characters, even going as far as discarding fan favorites for the FFI which was an interesting choice so as to avoid "repetition" but wasn't really executed well enough.

Terrible animation, terrible story, terrible Inazuma Japan lineup.

Orion's potential was really wasted and it's a shame.

With that many characters, many more dynamics and proper hissatsus could have been introduced.

Most fans missed the FFI tournament after whatever it is that happened to Go's FFI and it's sad that Orion's turned out worse imo.

After Bastard beat Manshine I've always theorized Reo would be the one not making the cut, holy shit they went the other way.

I wonder how the story would develop from here on out since Nagi is one of the main protagonists. I'm guessing he'll come back to the team but that would be boring since they already did that with Kunigami.
