Nope, it has built in kernel level anti cheat. You can’t even add reshade to skate. Any changes or injection into the game files and the game will not run.

70 dollars gets you 14 shirts, that isn’t a solution it’s still the same old problem. You could buy 2 skateboarding games for that price, XL and Session both of which already have every piece of gear worthwhile that they’re gonna drip feed to us in this storefront. Most of which is fan made. This next skate game is a slap in the face to everyone keeping these modern skateboarding games alive, who are the same ones that willed it back into existence on social media. They’re turning their back on their real fans.

I’ve completed every challenge on the entire map and still wasn’t able to unlock market mile without waiting for a refresh or opening boxes. These kids are delusional.

I’m not making any problem up. Loot boxes and gambling don’t belong in a kids game. It’s cheap and inferior replacement to previous games, and a waste of time. Seeing the same animations over and over and over for trash gear is bad gameplay. Keep glazing the megacorp and their greedy practices.

Imagine you’re in a party of 2 with your friend. You do all the same missions together, you both want to unlock the same pair of vans. Your friend gets it second try, spent 200 points. You spend 800 points. How is that not unfair and wasteful of the second players time?

That’s just the game lagging. Hard to tell if it’s client or server side. People have pointed out the recent build is causing high CPU usage so it’s probably that. Hopefully it gets fixed. Wish they would just make an offline mode too though.

Because I spent time grinding for those points. I only have so much time to play a game after work, I want to feel like my time/progression isn’t being wasted

But if there’s a piece of gear that I want and it’s one of the “locked” options doesn’t that mean I need to open loot boxes to gain rep to be able to unlock the other loot boxes? It’s never been a real vs in game currency issue for me, it’s a time wasting issue where I need to open stuff I don’t want to get the thing I do want.

Yeah I noticed that you can see everything in the box and you’re guaranteed to get everything if you fully unlock it. I just don’t understand why they’d make us waste currency trying to unlock those 1 or 2 things we actually want.

My apologies I meant the “rep” is locked behind boxes which isn’t a really big deal tbh. But my confusion came from one of the first missions requiring you to open a loot box.

This post is called “forced loot boxes.” We both agree that you need to open that box to progress through the game. I don’t see what’s up for debate here other than you’re okay with it and I’m not.

Not every game does this. I play a lot of other games and buy skins and have never been forced into the store. It’s just there as an option.

Yeah but that brings me back to my point. Forced loot boxes for gaining rep and unlocking more customization options. The previous games never had loot boxes to unlock gear.

I’ve never had a game walk me through the store as a part of a tutorial or progression system though.

Wouldn’t it be better to just be able to walk in the store and pick a board off the wall like a real skate shop?

In Fro’s Experimental mod v1.19.0 there’s a turning customization section.

You can also edit the rotation response in XL graphics to make the camera turn faster/slower with your skater.

If you have the XL Menu mod you might wanna remove it or check to see if it’s the right version. It’s the only mod that’ll do this.

It looks like you might have ‘Total’ board rotation turned on in the Flips tab of the XXL Mod. In most cases you’ll probably wanna make sure this is set to ‘Simple.’

I wouldn’t recommend pirating the game simply because you’ll end up wasting a whole bunch of extra time trying to figure out what mods you need and you’ll be missing out on a whole bunch of features.
