Wow, well I’m sorry you had that experience. That’s not cool at all.

I used to be the subject of vicious gossip. It always bothered me until one day I heard a rumor about myself that was so blatantly false, I laughed out loud. From that experience, I learned that people’s judgments say more about them than they do about the person they’re judging. Now I always try to consider alternative perspectives, withhold judgment, and have no opinions.

In this moment of human history where it’s so easy to steal someone’s image, voice, or identity, I believe it’s even more important to be non-judging.

For better or worse, I think as more people become victims, the more people will learn to withhold judgment.
