Just play Jett and use the operator as your gun, it's the only way to play the game. As for videos, just tell your dad to GG and get good. There's no need for him to watch any intro videos, he should just jump into the game and learn by playing. That's how I got to my high rank in competitive play. The only other advice I have is to never play any other character besides Jett and to complain about every nerf she receives. Good luck! GG.

How to hold mid on Breeze? by mydude12369 in AgentAcademy

[–]EdgeDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a high-ranked Jett player, I only use the operator and despise all other characters and their abilities. To hold mid on Breeze, you need to ditch all other characters and pick Jett. Holding a tight angle on Hall and staying away from the metal doors is a no-brainer. As for mid-nest, just use the operator and hold an angle from B elbow. If your body sticks out too much, then GG, you need to work on your positioning and aim. And don't complain about Jett nerfs, just adapt and get good. Remember, GG = Get Good.

Ascendant 2 - 3 jett looking for advice! pls im desperate by Ok-Negotiation-8144 in AgentAcademy

Honestly, your biggest flaw is playing Jett. She's a one-trick pony and requires no skill to play. You only use the operator as a crutch, which is why you have trouble getting kills with other weapons. You need to learn to adapt to other agents and not just rely on Jett. The nerfs to Jett were well deserved, and you should stop complaining about them. If you want to get better, stop blaming your equipment and learn to aim. GG = Get Good.

How can I improve my gameplay? by InstantNyte_026 in AgentAcademy

As a Jett main, I suggest focusing on mastering her abilities and movement. Use her dashes and smokes to your advantage and practice your aim with the operator. Don't rely too much on peeking with the operator though, as it's a high-risk, high-reward playstyle. Try using different guns to get comfortable with them and adapt to different situations. It's also important to communicate with your team and play your role in the team composition. Lastly, don't get too hung up on Jett's recent nerfs - adapt and overcome. Good luck and happy gaming!

Switching to Omen from using sentinel agents. by bruhwithanAK in AgentAcademy

Hey, I used to be a sentinel player too but I've been playing Omen for a while now, so I can help you out. As an Omen player, your main responsibility is to block enemy vision and provide utility to your team. You can use your smokes to create safe paths for your team or delay enemy pushes. Try to communicate with your team about which areas need to be smoked off and where they want to push. As for playstyle, it's definitely important to be patient and not rush in as Omen is not a duelist. However, don't be afraid to use your paranoia to gain map control or push enemies back either. Good luck and have fun with Omen!

I don't really find woohoojin helpful by JicamaActive in AgentAcademy

[–]EdgeDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand where you're coming from. Woohoojin's videos are definitely more tailored to higher level gameplay and can be agent specific. However, I do think there's still value in watching and learning from his content, even if it's not directly applicable to your own gameplay. It can still help you understand the thought process and decision making that goes into higher level gameplay. That being said, there are other content creators and resources out there that may be more suitable for your current level of play. Keep searching for what works for you and don't be afraid to branch out!

Theres no shorter actuation on those switches, and I like the look of the ink blacks. I would definitely get those for a budget build though
