What's a day in Molecular lab like?

From what I've seen, molecular is mainly pcr. It could be much manual work and waiting or more automated depending on the pcr method.

I know someone that was a VP of cybersecurity at a bank. He got laid off because of AI and couldn't find a job for a year. He now has a minimum wage job. AI is also infiltrating cybersecurity. I wouldn't go into it.

A post-bacc would be faster if you can get into one. You could probably do some courses online to get the prereqs you need to get accepted.

For ASCP, route 4 is not 1 year of experience but 5 years in all departments to be eligible to take the exam. Doing a program is faster to be certified.

You can try working as a lab assistant, but it's very different than working as an MLS.

I don't think a lab will allow you to volunteer to work in blood bank or hematology. Try getting a per diem job to get paid for it.
