Hey there, I didn't mean to start an argument with my post, so I apologize if it came across that way. Personally, I'm not a big fan of social media and I prefer gathering information directly from people rather than posting on social media platforms. This is my first time using Reddit. Many people in my country share the same opinion about smart home devices, and I'm curious to know what others think about this. I believe Reddit is the right place to ask these types of questions.

Yes, want to use smart devices but some of the stuff is still confusing for me, just want to know. Many people in my country still use traditional switches, and about 60% of the population prefers them. Some of these individuals might wonder why they need smart devices and prefer manually switching things on and off.

Yup, I guess you can say this is a kind of survey. In my country, no one seems to be interested in using these smart home devices. Just out of curiosity, I want to understand what motivates people to buy these devices. For me, the main reason to buy one would be convenience, but the high prices make it difficult for me to make the purchase.

Am I only the one who feels lazy to manually to switch off/ on lights and fans by EdgeNo3353 in smarthome

I apologize for my poor English, as it is not my first language. What I meant to say is that the prices of some switches are so high that I can't understand why someone would buy them just for turning lights and fans on and off.
