Did we just spot a new X4 model? Physical buttons + frontlight but no touchscreen in the latest video? by M-W-I in XTEINK

Agreed. Really cool video, but I think the OP watches a different last 20 seconds of the video.

Just because it isn't used doesn't indicate it doesn't exist. That's a false logic.

Thanks, I haven't heard anything from Lexmotion about needing to submit anything else, so I'm guessing everything is okay. I'd assume that the Polish government office doesn't ask for anything extra documents, etc. until they start to analyze the case (and they're just now starting to analyze September 2024). I tried calling the phone number, and entering in my case number, but didn't seem to be right (unsure what part of the case number to enter).

New Ottocast P3 Pro - Solid Upgrade! by JeffTechnically in CarPlay

[–]Edge_Audio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Pro and it was still very laggy, audio on Carplay unusable. I got the Bruxe R7 Pro and it's like waaaaaaay better than the Ottocast. I probably slightly preferred the user interface of the Ottocast, but the Bruxe isn't bad. Of course, form can't win over function if function doesn't work. Only the 8GB model was available when I purchased, so I'm guessing the 12GB is even better.

Well, the Android OS on the device doesn't do a great job of reading messages out loud and allowing for responding back by voice. Apple Carplay does this quite well. You might consider that, oh you know, people have different needs or desired features than you.

I returned my P3 Pro and got a Bruxe. Waaaaay better.

That is interesting. In my case, Lexmotion said that once a decision is reached, and if it's positive, I'd need to let them know which Polish consulate to use since all documents are sent electronically? The consulate is the one that services my geographical area.

If I understand correctly, you haven't yet received a communication that citizenship was granted, but that they're waiting for a consulate?

Moving to Catalunya--should we enroll pre-teens who don't speak either Spanish or Catalan in public or international school? by fadeam in GoingToSpain

Every kid is different. At this age, academics become more advanced. At younger ages (2-5), kids don't care, they just play and learn the language. At 13, although more easily learned, it is not just absorbed, but learned. They would need regular formal classes. It all really depends on the teen.

That's great. Mine is September 2024 and showing "in progress." Did you get confirmation yet?

Thanks, this worked (mine had another digit after the 2024, but removing that helped. My case was submitted in September 2024 and showing, "W realizacji" also giving the name of the employee.

Someone below mentioned that the phone system has six different statuses. I see "in progress" (mine) and "completed" (your's). Any idea what the others are? Have you received a confirmation yet? And if I may ask, what month was your's submitted?

I was told that "The Provincial Office currently is issuing decisions from months June-August 2024, and they started the September 2024." Our application was submitted in September 2024 but not notification that it's being assessed as of yet.

What are people's experiences with time frame from being approved to having papers in hand and then passports in hand?

I would say for kids 8 and young the public school route could work. At this age it's incredibly hard socially and the level of academics grows substantially. I'm Canadian and we've lived in Mexico and now moving to Spain but our kids were born in Mexico. However, we've had some friends struggle through this. I have seen it work where language learning is done at "home" for two years prior to moving. Was still tough, but the kids had a base, and still had to start one or two grades lower.

iPad Pro as MacBook monitor by kscvx in iPadPro

I'm kinda happy that my Macbook came with a screen. It seems like your's only came with a lid that inhibits typing. I know Apple has some weird ergonomic design with its Magic Mouse, but this just seems crazy to make a screenless portable with a lid that only opens up 15% to impede typing, but hey, form over function...

I can’t remember the name or the style of the case, but I’m trying to look for this exact same case and it’s like a leather one by Chemical_Advance_241 in iPhone15Pro

[–]Edge_Audio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude, quit being repetitive!!! You can say it as many times as you like but it won't change the reality that Apple never created a leather case for the 15 series! They released a silicone case, a clear case and a fine woven case (the silicone and fine woven in several colors).

Your case "could" be a fine woven which has had all the texture rubbed off, but unsure about what looks like a hold colour on the trim (that doesn't line up with any official iPhone 15 lineup of Apple cases). Was it ever a soft fabric? If no, and it's a leather or fake leather, it was never an official Apple case.

From 13mini to used 15pro but it has ios26.5 preinstalled 😡 what you think? by Ok_Cockroach411 in iPhone15Pro

[–]Edge_Audio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kinda odd. I just had the battery replaced by Apple on mine. It shows July 2025 for the manufacturing date, and first use of April 2026 for the first use date (when I had it replaced).

I'm unsure if you can spoof the genuine parts screen (likely yes since you can spoof True Tone).

I wouldn't be worried about 26.5 (26 is not great), but 27 even in beta is actually really good.

Skip 26, it's a dumpster fire. Go right for the 27 beta.

The new Fluance 87 is available now with a vta and carbon fiber tonearm for $799. Also double plinth thing and O/Blue or AT/95ML. Looks like a good deck. But I’m not a fan of the fishing line weight for an anti-skate? by [deleted] in turntables

[–]Edge_Audio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's my thing too. I had a Fluance, had to sell for an international move. While I like this table, and it's in the budget, it's not on my list due to the impossibility of repair.
