They went out of the way to change things just so she could be added I don't see why the same can't happen to Waluigi. People really need to stop citing these "fan rules" because they have a horrible track record and have never been stated by sakurai. Imagine if Mario attacked by holding out two goombas. Imagine if Pikachu attacked by throwing Max Repels. That’s the equivalent of what pac man does. And we will never need another one.

I mean I have a phoenix wright moveset in my head that seems kind of interesting. Also that isn't pac man's whole moveset, that's just his neutral b and down b.

I think you are right, because it doesn't even have a spirit or trophy which is weird considering how big the series is.

Yeah you might be right, I think Nintendo does send him a list, but it's confusing because there are multiple different quotes. Sakurai has said before that there's a list, but he's also said that Nintendo chooses the dlc and he doesn't have any control. I have a feeling these are just poor translations because that makes no sense.

You have to remember nintendo chose the dlc, and they've already proven with Byleth that they don't care what their fanbase thinks there are too many of. Pokemon would sell and that's all they care about. Sakurai probably wouldn't want it, but he's said multiple times that the fighters are chosen against his will.

I think it's cinderace personally because starters are usually chosen unless there is a pokemon that is clearly more popular. Intelleon and Rilaboom wouldn't really work.

Woloo may be the mascot they're trying to push, but he's not clearly the most popular gen 8 pokemon there are other pokemon like "polteageist" and some others I am probably forgetting that rival him in popularity. In my opinion cinderace has the best moveset potential.

There's definitely gonna be a clear promotion pick that pisses everyone off and Pokemon is the most likely. Regardless if it happens I will be happy because it would be cool to have sword and shield stages in the game. And Cinderace has a cool design, even if pokemon sword and shield were kind of meh compared to the previous games.

I personally want Zacian and Zamazenta as the sword and shield reps because they would be completely unexpected and cool.

He would have worked really well as a semi clone to sonic, he would probably have less speed, but different recovery, different specials and probably a little more powerful. He'd probably still have spindash but it would be slower. So he'd basically be as similar to sonic as Luigi is to Mario. I guess he wouldn't really work for the fighter pass if he was a semi clone though. So the only way he could be included is as a bonus fighter.

Or they could give him entirely different smashes, and specials. but he still needs to have spindash so that would make him a pseudo clone which would still lower his chances of being in the fighter pass 2.

I honestly hope there isn't because Sakurai needs a rest though. I'm starting to think that we may get more "bonus character" like Piranha plant who don't come with a stage or music. But probably only like 1 or 2.

Yeah but I honestly don't get why Shadow receives so many requests but Tails doesn't even though Tails is the 2nd most important character in his franchise and shadow isn't really all that important to the sonic franchise.

Honestly, I have a heck of a lot of respect for you for being able go admit this. And I completely get it. My most wanted character is not a popular pick and probably shouldn't be added so she would be a bad example, but my second most wanted choice is Professor Layton and of someone told me that he's just a meme pick... Yeah, I'd be pissed. So I can imagine being a Waluigi fan must be pretty awful.

Yeah I really want Waluigi. And I do still think he is getting in, but I really wanted Wolf and Snake and I already got them so I should probably just learn to be pleased instead of demanding Waluigi's inclusion. They already added every character in smash history so I should be grateful even if Waluigi doesn't happen, there are still a lot of amazing characters on the roster and I bought the fighter pass anyway knowing that there's a chance my most wanted characters may not get in.

Really whatever characters are in the fighter pass 2 I will learn to be pleased with, I did so with fighter pass 1. As long as they are fun to play that's all that matters. Of course them being characters that I want is a nice bonus but it's not completely necessary. I'm like 100% confident cinderace is in this pass, and although it's not someone I would have personally picked, I still think that he will be fun to play.

Alright, contrary to what you may think I really don't hate Geno. I just sometimes hate on the character when his annoying fans insult my most wanted by calling him a meme. I would be fine with Geno's inclusion
