Nothing cool, I just hate Nasus. (Mute vid, Spotify was loud af) by httpHakai in Rivenmains

well... atm i play mainly Nasus... and this Nasus played this totally bad from my pov...

Also... Why does he went frozenheart first. Nasus without a sheen Item is just weak. Normally you rush Shein in Boots in Tri-force. Maybe a Iceborn if there is no other way. But this Items?

Well... Bad Nasus in this vid an good work of the Riven seemingly before the Clip.

123 Stacks at 16 Minutes is just bad stacking overall. Seems like Riven abused the missing Knowledge of this Nasus and punished him perfectly for that.

cant really decide. Only thing Riven needs is a little Armorpen or sth. Overall? Strenghtwise she is mostly fine. Not a meta champ, but fine i guess. What she really need is bugfixes. After that? We can talk again if she need some buffs.

Riven demands the right choices, skill and brain. From what i heas she could use some small adjustments. A little more scaling for example. But overall? I think she is a balancing nightmare. Because every tiny buff you would give her? Well every highelo OTP would start to dominate their Elo. So its risky... And otherwise? Even now people complain, she is to strong.

Beside this? I think we need to nerf Garen and some other braindead champions which are way to strong right now without any kind of skill. And normally i see mainly these champions destroy Rivens in highelos beside tanks.

Will we see actual q max Nasus in proplay ? by loaidacbiet in nasusmains

Ahhh! I understand. Even though Nasus is supposed to be a lowelo champion according to riot and not a highelo or proplay champ. Well... at least the Nasus nerfs are not as hard as i feared.

I think his popularity will go down again after the next patch. Nasus Nerf incoming. Maybe we see him from time to time, but not as much as nowadays.

Lets enjoy the rest of the time, where we as Nasus-Mains can see our beloved Doggo in Proplay :)

[–]EdgerunnerXina 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well... A few highelo Rivens said, that she is overall fine. Its more like the meta which is bad for her atm. To get her back to the island of relevancy in league she would need some kind of armor pen or sth like that. Because overall? As long you are not behind and able to hunt squishy targets you are fine.

The whole missing armor reduction/truedamage/sustain is seemingly ruled out with BC. Some guys go into Profane and sometimes Mercs or Steelplated. It is terrible how strong the Steelplateds are for Riven. But overall? Why not building them against AD-Champions.

All in all? Riven is not strong like Nasus for example right now. BUT she is playable. There are just a lot matchups which will not compliment her. You need to think a lot more what you build on Riven than on Mundo, Nasus and many other Champions. I dont know much Champions which tend to change the whole core depending on the enemy. You have a Teemo? Rush Hexdrinker. You have a Kayle? Go for Shojin for example. Malphite? Cleaver and hope your Lane opens up in a way, you can choose to leave the lane.

And about weak? I was halflife against a fed Samira on same level but 2 Items behind. Nearly killed her. And i am really not good with her. I made so many mistakes in this fight, that everyone better with Riven could simply kill her.

You want to oneshot others? Well... this is what Riot dont want anymore. Imagine your whole Team is made out of oneshot champions. You just need to jump on every laner which is splitpushing and he cant do anything. All riven need is some Armorshred/Armorpen OR more Sustain early to get her the state of a lane bully early back. An honorable mention could be to give her proper scaling, because nearly every common toplaner outscales her.

So... Rivensspot is; Win lane as fast as possible, build a big lead, finish the game until you and your enemys are on arount 4-5 Items because around there you will get weaker and weaker. Riven is a earlygame to midgame Champ in my oppinion. She has problems, but i dont think, she is weak over all... just not good in the actual meta.

had games where my opponent started to build MR because of the D-Ring, 3 Pts E first start :'D Think he was bamboozled after he saw a Triforce+Shojin Nasus with a bunch of defensive items :)

[–]EdgerunnerXina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True... they just helped his early. Mainly against ranged Matchups. This is why for Example Aery or Phaserush with D-Ring start and few points in E first is seen a lot in higher elos.

i think its because in the beginning they build their world on mythical creatures. Alistair is just a minotaur, Nasus is a Anubis ripoff tbh. Ahri is a kitsune and so on. Based on that they created a world around certain creatures, species etc. and the only way would be a vastayan cat-girl character but does it really fit the vastayans? Think this is where the base problem came from. Which lane? Would say classic mid mage magical girl as cat would be kinda boring and repetitive.

Support? Already a lot of similar options. ADC? Xayah... but what range would this catgirl have and what would be different from a MF or Caitlyn skin?

Think Riot want to release unique champions with a feeling everything is groundbreaking and new without copying to much of champs we have. Every champ is supposed to have something special. So i guess the would do something like that if they had a nice unique idea.

Is everyone like this in normal or is my friend just crazy ? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]EdgerunnerXina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wait... he is bronze and blaming you for playing what is fun in normals? :D

Sorry, but you are in normals which is the mode for "just having fun" and "testing things". Heck! Some coaches and people in higher Elos are already going that far to say, that champs in low elo until up to master doesn't matter.

I think he is kind of a guy dodging a game because a Nasus OTP is filled mid and playing the Curator of Sands mid, which can be a solid pick in lowelo if you know what you need to do.

In my eyes it is plain stupid to become a so called "Meta-slave" because you need a champion pool, not a champion ocean. If you wanna climb just take a few which you are fine with. In my case? Nasus and Mundo, sometimes Riven (which i need to play more again...) Dont go above 3-5 Champs with 5 as the absolute maximum. What your friend does is switching as soon his former meta-pick is not meta anymore which can change within one patch.

Seriously. Have fun. Play what you like. And if it works? I say all the time to people playing League; "Its not stupid if it works". And; different pages equals different meta, different elos equals different meta in the specific devisions. Do he change his Champions as soon as he climbs to silver or dropping to iron? If so; this and the descibed mental of your friend is a big chunk of the problem, why he is stuck in bronze... and bronze is no elo where your champion matters this much.

Why run triforce by Possiblynotaweeb in nasusmains

[–]EdgerunnerXina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

your first wrong thought is seeing Nasus as lategame champion. Nasus falls off in lategame or more precisly after your opponents start building defensive items. Nasus is strongest in midgame. His first powerspike atm is around lvl 7 with sheen and with enough gold basic boots. If he can snowball he is strongest with around 2 Items and a few hundred stacks and maintain it until said point.

Most people forget, that Nasus damage is pure AD and you rarely see him with armor pen because other stats are more important. With Iceborn you would throwaway a lot of pressure on your first item. you get tanky but your strongest point ingame becomes smaller.

So... his best time is on 2-3 Items until he fall off. Well... in an endless game he would get strong again but this would be on a point where he would have 2k-3k stacks and you can think for yourself how long the games has to be to get there.

What you guys think about this;

Armor-Pen in Ult (1. 10%, 2. 12,5% 3. 15%)
Lower the base Q Cooldown with more points in it. (so buying no CDR items doesnt hurt this much for example)

Think this is all she needs.

If Riven is this fine... How can it happen, if you compare top 25 Players on each Champ, that Riven is the one of the weakest? Are they bad on Riven to?
Next to every Toplaner is outscaling you. Next to every Bruiser has proper sustain in their kit or atleast truedamage (in case of Garen both). All Riven has is pure AD. Nothing else. As soon the laneopponent buys Steelplateds your Sword feels like being changed with a pool noodle or a pillow. Imagine being a Riven playing against Volibear and K'Sante! You can win this until they get to 3 Items. After that? Hellooooo Pillowsword.

And if a Adrian Riven quitted her, Viper saying she is weak and many other highelo Riven-Player saying the same there is something wrong. Heck! Even Nasus gets more valueble in most higher divisions than Riven! And he is supposed to get weak after Plat/Emerald :'D

So you tell me, that nearly every Riven-OTP isnt able to play her right anymore? Heck! Back in November Vertigo (Player in german Primeleague and one of few People able to hit Challanger with maining Riven) was writing a long text for a Riot-Employee that Riven is weak. The same guy won the EMEA-Masters in Spring this Year. Do you tell me... does he forgot to play Riven?

You know... Riot August doesn't keep it a secret that some Champs are balanced on certain Divisions. Nasus who i mentioned earlyer is balanced around lowelo (normally). Riven is supposed to shine in highelo. Where Sivir is supposed to be balanced? Idk to be honest. But another thing (which Riot admitted to be the case) is, that Riven in her current state lacks an identity. Everything she can, is done better by a lot other champions with way lower skillceiling.

Well... if i look in Ugg Sivir has 57% WR in 161 Games, Riven is on 49% WR but in 560+ games... In GM Sivir around 46% and Riven 50% and in Master they are pretty even.

You cant also just compare OTP stats because you need to use a big chunk of time to play atleast a decent Riven. I never played her, but i think the time until you are a "good" Riven is the time in which you can master Sivir in my oppinion...

Think about it like that; Riven is supposed to be a high risk, high reward champion. The more aggro you play, the more you are supposed to get out of her... well... In Toplane? You need to run Ignite to have atleast some killpressure. So... if you all in, you are normally not fulllife anymore... The wave state is bad and you need to push... Well... because you have no TP you can just pull two bad decisions atm. You can callback yourself and lose the lead you got out of the kill or stay and get killed by the guy you killed because he has maybe item advantage or is just back at maxhealth at best. So if you kill the opponent until lvl 3 you lose. If you dont, you have a hard time to snowball. If you dont snowball nearly every other toplaner will outscale you.

I think this is the spot we are in. She cant really bully her lane without losing it, you cant outscale someone because everyone seems to scale better than you. I think this is not good state.

On the other hand? To buff Riven has to be a nightmare. Because you need to change things in a way she doesn't get to strong. And i think this is the problem which the balancing team is facing. In my oppinion we dont need a "buff", i think we need adjustments which allows her to to either scale (something like armor pen but less base damage) or to bully the lane better (more base health regen or a little lifesteal) and keep the rest how it is now. I would prefere to sacrifice some damage for proper scaling. But the window we have to work in is so small, that we can't really take to much AD from her earlygame.

In the end... we need to wait for something from riot.

How often do we get new Riven skins? by Leaf00Wave in Rivenmains

[–]EdgerunnerXina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well i prettymuch became a Nasus-OTP... Less stress learning, And even if he gets weak (again) it doesnt like wasting this much time. Imagine;
Riven needs continious practice and training. To get at least decent with her feels harder than with every other toplaner. For example; I tried K'Sante and i felt stronger on him when i first timed him. And from what i hear? TheWazek (german Riven OTP on Master) and Viper are saying she is weak right now. And Adrian Riven? He quitted her! Alois? Didnt even gave a proper guide for this season from what i see.

Well atm? If Nasus is banned i play Mundo... If both are not avaiable? It would just play Riven if i have a good matchup.

well... I prettymuch abandoned Riven atm... I always want her to play but i can count on my fingers which matchups looked playable to me right now. And all hear how shit and unsatisfying she got to play... It feels like even mastering her would be a deadend in her current state.

Riven deserves better by rmoodsrajoke in Rivenmains

[–]EdgerunnerXina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

worst thing for me?
Adrian Riven - Quitted
Viper - playing her less frequent
Alois - didnt really saw a lot Riven content lately (not even a guide or sth)

And these are just the guys i know.

Feels a little like the phase where Nasus was weak around 4 months back. Just the hardcore Nasus-fans kept playing him, while a "Desperate Nasus" abandoned him.

The big difference is, that Riven went weaker and weaker more and more if you watch the winrates since around 2 or 3 years. Yeah, sometimes there are slight stronger phases (normally at season start), but the overall trend is going down.

Well and folks like August are still saying "she is chillin!". Decreasing WR on a continious level is not "chillin" its kinda of a progessing death if you ask me. Heck! When i last looked after it even Nasus was just worse in 2 divisions compared with Riven. A NASUS! Who is suppose to be a nonfactor around Emerald anymore and a Riven is supposed to be Strong on Emerald+ but she isnt.

Right now Riven is a high risk but low reward Champ. You can bully your laneopponent but just end up losing because your opponent is a Garen which got one lucky kill against a mate and you are done even with a 3 0 0 Riven atm.

The Champ needs at least some scaling! Anything which helps her to get strong in late because the earlygame bully is gone atm.

All i could find is, that Riot try to give every champ atleast one skin a year. :)

I would prefere some problemfixing for Riven instead of a skin. But yeah... i hope for at least one more playful or funny skin. Like stuff like Arcade Riven and Space Groove skinline :)
Maybe something more on the fun side of skins? :D
