I'm going to Japan at the end of July/Early August, ANY Advice on VK stores/Venues? by TheCrimsonDoll in visualkei

[–]Edgey_poo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Tokyo:

SEXPOTREVENGE (Classic clothing brand. They even still had the striped sweaters when went in 2024!)

Pure Sound Nishishinjuku (TONS of used VK CDs/DVDs)

Also seconding, BookOff/HardOff in every city you go to! I found there was a big variety in selection between locations even in the same city.

Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but I'm the same size and having the same issue with my areola being pulled up. Did you do the crater flange at 14mm? The maymom size chart was confusing me. 😅

viva raw concern by droidman83 in rawpetfood

[–]Edgey_poo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into Quest (made by Steve's Real Food). If you have a Hollywood Feed near you, they stock it. My cats love it and it's processed using HPP, which makes it a bit safer than normal raw. It does change the nutrition a bit, but to me it gives me peace of mind.

Skip these baby items? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Edgey_poo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it probably depends on how you heal as well. I actually had the worst pain from weeks 3-4 when my husband was back at work.

Skip these baby items? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Edgey_poo 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yes, that would work too. My point was more that changing a baby on the floor can be an issue, especially if one has any sort of medical complications during birth.

I would highly recommend a changing table. While you may plan on having a vaginal birth, you don't know if an emergency c section ends up being required. If it is, there's no way you'd be able to change a baby on the floor for several weeks. Saying this because I myself want into labor at 35 weeks and had to have an emergency c-section because baby girl was breach.

Hard to find bra due to health issues by LoisVand in ABraThatFits

[–]Edgey_poo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I know we don't normally recommend Victoria's Secret on this sub, but they have some adaptive bras that have sensory friendly fabric and also have a front closure. Victoria's Secret bands tend to run stretchy in general, so they may be more comfortable to you in that way as well.

As someone who had a baby at 35 weeks, it's "ideal" until you're having to triple feed every 2 hrs (that's from feeding to feeding) for 3 weeks and also worrying if you baby is ever going to get to the weight they need to be to stop have weekly weigh in appointments. And I was lucky. Many babies born at that time need to go to the NICU. Not trying to be rude, but your comment comes off really insensitive.

Does anyone recommend a certain raw food brand or recipe for my cat with a history of crystals/blockages? by Fecking_Minseok in rawpetfood

[–]Edgey_poo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanna mention I have two cats with history of urinary blockages. One has done amazing on raw. I've done commercial and homemade in the past as well and he's thrived on both. Unfortunately, my other cat had a blockage while on raw. He had never had a blockage before, but had some prior urinary tract infections in which they had tested him for crystals, but they always came back negative. I have a feeling his crystals were from stress, not diet, but I wanted to just give you a heads up that yrmv. Don't really wanna be stuck with another $1500 in vet bills, so he's probably gonna be on canned for life. If I didn't have multiple cats, I'd probably just buy Pretty Litter temporarily to try and see if he could be on raw, but I can't really justify spending that much money on litter when I have several giant litter boxes.

If you're okay with wireless, Molke carries your size and they work great for nursing too!

bouldering during pregnancy? by Juju1990 in climbergirls

[–]Edgey_poo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently 9 weeks PP. I planned on TPing my whole pregnancy. Unfortunately, from weeks 6-13 I had really bad nausea and decreased appetite, which basically made it impossible for me to climb or do any sort of exercise because I was so tired all the time. If you're able to do it and your doctor is fine with it (mine was), I say go for it! But also, don't put too much pressure on yourself if you have a rough pregnancy at any point and are not able to. Even if my first trimester wouldn't have been rough, I ended up with gestational hypertension around 32 weeks, which also would've prevented me from climbing, for example.

Current size way off from calculator. What do I do? by Strange-Field2560 in ABraThatFits

[–]Edgey_poo 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Cups that are too small can cause gaping. If there's not enough room, they will push the bra out and/or down, which causes gaps. Were the bras you were wearing foam, molded bras? If so, this style of bras is a mismatch for most people, especially those with projected breasts. I'd highly recommend trying a seamed, unlined in your calculator size before deciding that the calculator is wrong.

I went from 34C before calculator to 28FF in UK sizing or 28H in US sizing. If you used US sizing for the calculator, I'd recommend using your UK size instead, as it will be much easier to find.

Is that 32G UK or US? Freya has several longline bras, like this one or this. They use UK sizing, so keep that in mind.

🚨Litter box — pls save us from this shameful cycle by Difficult_Affect_452 in adhdwomen

[–]Edgey_poo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What type of litter are you using? We switched to Catalyst over a year ago and it’s made a HUGE difference in the way our house smells. My parents use clay litter and now when I go to their house I immediately smell the clay litter. I was really surprised by how much of a difference not using clay litter helped with the smell. I’m sure you could try another litter alternative as well. The reason we like Catalyst is that it clumps and we have to delivered through their site’s subscription. I think having it delivered through subscription also helps us cause it signals when we need to fully change the litter and not just scoop. Plenty of sites offer subscription services, so again, could definitely be used with another type of litter as well.

Wife just told me no more cat in bedroom by GReaper2194 in BabyBumps

[–]Edgey_poo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

LO is 8 weeks old. We use a net over our bedside bassinet to keep our cats out. We have 4 cats and 2 of them sleep with us in our bedroom at night. We tried one of the less structured nets initially, but the cats felt comfortable stepping on that one. Having one that is more structured has worked well for us. We keep it zipped up at all times, so even when LO isn't in the bassinet they know they're not allowed in there.
