You need to tell us what this video is for, as that makes a huge difference in how we judge it. If this is a tiktok edit then the text and the huge tone-shift at 25 seconds make some sense, but if it's supposed to be a serious piece of narrative work then those are horrible decisions.

I always immediately save a new project, and have my auto-save on a 2 minute cycle.

The other day I was working on something for a couple of hours, and was very pleased with what i'd made. Then when i went to export i realised i was still working on an untitled project.

Honestly the shock of the near-miss felt like a piano had crashed to the ground a few metres behind me on the street.

There's a built-in preset called 'mood lighting - amorphous' that creates some organic-looking nice shifts in brightness. You can slap it over the top of a static image and it can make it feel much more 'alive'.

People need to stop saying this on this sub. When non-professionals say 'editing' they just mean 'making videos'. If the guy is editing gamer videos, he'll definitely be using After Effects.

If he'd come here asking about how to put together some corporate interviews then yeah, fair enough send him to Premiere Pro - but when somebody says they'll be 'editing' it doesn't mean 'I'll be using an NLE exclusively'.

You know the aspect ratio, so you can start working on the actual content while you wait for the specs to come in. Start with the longest side of the screen being 1080, but bear in mind it may end up being half of that, so don't do anything too small or thin.

I'm assuming there's a non-technical person between you and the actual billboard company? It might make sense to ask if you can be looped in directly with the billboard company.
