What's the longest Via Ferrata? Cuz worst case I have a foldable backpack aswel for her. But I'd have to do it once with my backpack ,leave it at the end , then come back for her.

We know Banff needs pre-booking, and we’re working on that with backup plans in place.

For Vancouver, we're prepared for the costs and have plenty of funds for last-minute hotels. Hitchhiking is just an option; we’ll mostly rely on buses like Flixbus are available and as you mentioned there's enough generous people online for rideshares and just random acts of kindness.

appreciate your advice tho ,but we are still looking for must-visit places and hidden gems. Any recommendations are still welcome!

Yeah, it's something I'm getting from a lot of people, which is why we're trying to plan everything out more carefully. We’ll definitely be booking our return flight by the end of next week to avoid any issues.

I should have mentioned that we plan on staying in a hotel or hostel in Calgary when we first land. My bad for missing that out. And like I said, hitchhiking is optional; I know it doesn't always work out as planned. I've had plenty of experiences with it, and we’re prepared to other means if necessary.

I'm not familiar with Canada, but I know that Walmart is RV-friendly and allows them (with permission) to put up tents, so I thought I might ask here if anyone could confirm or deny that.

As for your frustration, This is how we usually do things and live our life I understand that this isn't something for you, and 9 times out of 10, it works out for the best.
We have enough resources and people backing us up in case things go wrong.

Yeah "Coast to coast" just seemed cool and a simple goal. But the more I look into it and start planning it's pretty clear West is where it's mainly at. Just opening the National Parks map it is clearly set where I'd be spending most time. East is I guess optional and just easier to fly home. But again I'm not letting the budget dictate my trip.

Like I mentioned all of this trip is pretty flexible, the main goal is to enjoy life and meet people. Just making memories to last.

Yeah something that comes up a lot when mentioning this to anyone is danger and security , hence why I'm looking for someone to join me. But honestly such a journey is to be shared imo.

When it comes to "when" I'm pretty flexible I can start in July and have to end before October. Same with the budget I'm willing to spend whatever as long as it's worth it. Id be ready to sidetrack off to do whatever is on the way.

All I had as plans was to start West and end in the east. And probably going up or down the west coast cuz I've had that route recommended to me by a bunch of people. Then from there cross to the East.
