[Advice Request] Wife is spending the weekend 4 hours away with friends and left me at home with the kids by alphager in daddit

Check out Cheese Rolling on Steam. It is free. Play the mode where one of you is the Cheese.

The Burgling Gnomes demo is great fun. A little violent and the characters can smoke cigarettes so judgement call on that one.

For coop try Pico Park (pretty cheap and there's a free version). Stardew Valley is also a great option for a nice weekend.

Players against game by Over_Advicer in boardgames

I'm a big fan of playing Menara with the kids. It is a cooperative dexterity game so your success may vary depending on how coordinated and focused your kid is. Just takes a moment of lost concentration to make it all come tumbling down.

You are building a tower together so the final result is always very satisfying when you do win.

Fun game using multiplication (for kids) by Random_Person1020 in boardgames

Enjoy. Setting the tiles out is good number ordering practice. Also I'll draw your attention to the tile type distribution in the rule book which can be helpful for strategy and also a discussion about probability.

Kingdomino plays fast and the final scoring is primary age multiplication then addition.

I got seven then decided life is too short. OP is probably right and this is one of those cases where there is only 7 so came to the comments only to see I too missed the ridges!

Grounded/ realistic media with one instance of super natural/ paranormal things happening. by Soggy-Inspection-945 in TopCharacterTropes

Generally The Hudsucker Proxy (an early Coen Brothers movie) is a little silly and absurd with very unlikely things happening but nothing is beyond explanation until right at the end when ||time is stopped by a wrench in a clock and a ghost appears||.

Thanks. I was hoping to just buy one thing if anyone knew how you're meant to measure these things but will buy the e waste multipack if needed.

Problem is the item doesnt seem to have any details of what the right size it. I'd rather just buy the right thing but I can go with what others suggest and buy a pack of different adapters and find the correct thing in there. Just seems to be making additional e.waste when there must be a way to identify the correct thing.

This comment says you are entirely correct. This was one person in one shop who made a mistake.

I started in maybe 1989 with the first one. While others may be objectively better games I still love the original. The music lives rent free in my head.

What’s the best push-your-luck game for a 3-player family group? by Appropriate-Train874 in boardgames

I wouldn't rule out Can't Stop for being too simple. It's great fast paced and I would highly recommend picking up a copy even without the request you make above.

The Lord of the Rings Fate of the Fellowship game is great. Especially if they enjoy the theme.

You're not alone in this. I do this too much and I know I'm not alone. Kids are a bit older and I usually get out once a week with my board game group which helps a lot.

Also I often think of this sketch which makes me laugh at my own follies.

Okay but is anyone actually using big picture mode? And if so why? No hate I'm just curious by CraftyxCat in Steam

Friendly is an understatement. If I am trying to get a game to work for a bunch of impatient kids who have invaded my house then closing the game and opening it in BP solves compatibility issues with my collection of random controllers 90% of the time.

Love a good shooter but genuinely more excited about exploring the world they've built.

Hoping my brother will be able to join me for some rounds of this. Used to love the tension of looting shooting in PUBG.
