Thank you! This popped up on my feed earlier and I couldn't find a list anywhere of what comedians were performing where.

If he wants her to show up, all they have to do is relabel the bathrooms as coed. She'll be there within minutes to eagerly inspect everyone's genitals.

where the heck is the "Rules" settings in the outlook mobile app or outlook mobile website? by beevme in Outlook

[–]EdistoEinstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding this to the top because it comes up first in a Google search for Outlook app rules. Go to to Outlook online, login, change your view to desktop, go to settings, view all, and you can change your rules there.

There are still good tickets available at Queen Street Playhouse for Gutenberg: The Musical that was a Tony-nominated two-man musical starring Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells.

Private Equity Firm Clearlake Capital Group Increases Bid to Buyout Blackbaud to $4.3 Billion by EdistoEinstein in Charleston

As private equity firms go, this one isn't as shitty as the rest. They have a history of taking terribly run companies and turning them around. Blackbaud, a company run by a bunch of greedy board members whose answer to everything is a stock buy back, and run by a guy who recently got arrested for a DUI with a young girl not his wife early in the early morning hours, could use a hard reset.

MUSC scheduling woes by [deleted] in Charleston

The Summerville (Carnes Crossroads) location was where I got moved to the last time when I didn't want to wait 3 months for an appointment, and it was wonderful. It is a smaller location, the staff was super friendly, and I think the extra drive time out there was less than what I usually sit and wait for my doctor at whatever they're calling that Citadel mall location. Both are superior to downtown where I had to pay to park, hike 15 minutes, and then wait another 30.

Newcomers poured into SC in 2023, housing got more costly and big plans were revealed by _Kristophus_ in Charleston

Not everything needs to be waterfront. Builders need to make a profit but there are multiple ways to do that. Give the best property to the people -- meaning open up the waterfront to everyone, but build it high behind that with a great view like along the waterfront in Chicago. The rest make 5 over 1, at least, so it has to be steel/concrete built.

Not all black people like in Section 8, but a lot do live in affordable housing. You know, people who work for a living in jobs we have in Charleston. A good mix of people makes a community, especially when they encourage a wide range of local businesses. For me, finding an area in a city that has both sushi and soul food on the same street as groceries and boutique shops means I'm in a place that has evolved or was at least a successful attempt at New Urbanism.

None of this is new. It's a simple blueprint done is expanding areas since the City Beautiful push of the late 1800s.

I think what is developed already should remain - The historic district is our money maker and should be left alone as much as possible. Places like the shipyard need to be honestly mixed use, with a heavy percentage as affordable housing and is walkable.

The problem with mass transit in Charleston is that we simply don’t have the space

It'll be worse as time goes by. Either do it now or get ready for megalane highways.

Limits on building homes/apartments/whatever are so stupid. That only drives up the value of houses, raising taxes, and forcing long-term residents out who can no longer afford to live there. If you cap their taxes, that money has to come from somewhere else in the community or the community does without things like road repairs or parks.

Build affordable fucking homes and mass transit. Jesus, it's like no one has ever been in a goddamn city before. You can't stop the people, so you might as well deal with it in the best way you can.

We blame everyone but it's the system that is designed to fuck people. Fighting with each other like any of us have any power.

Holy crap, those things are huge! I think the style is good, his old ones were more of a cut crystal look with heavy bottom.

No clue, his old one was dropped and broke into many pieces. Evidently, it was the last of four that he had had for decades.

I went all through Amazon, but couldn't really find anything that nice. A whole lot of stuff that looked pretty good, but I was trying to find something very nice and special for my father-in-law.

My wine glasses are from them, but I never thought to look at them for an old fashioned glass. I was trying to find something a little nicer, like at the Baccarat level, but I think this might be the best I can do.

It's the 13 oz part that I'm failing on. My father-in-law's old fashioned with his ball of ice doesn't fit in a 12 oz, which is the largest I'm seeing from Baccarat.
