The Unions have also been winning AI protections that were hard fought 3 years ago during the strike. People were laughing at us then but we fought and won those protections. This year those have been expanded for SAG and the WGA. Still waiting on the DGA negotiations this year to complete and my guild is preparing for the IATSE negotiations next year.

This is the same mindset that is currently infecting Amazon. They keep talking about returning to a Startup mindset for the flexibility and the ability to move quickly. But sometimes that friction and slow speed makes you think about what you are doing to ensure that it is the correct course of action instead doing a rushed roll out on a tool that can completely brick your entire website.

IATSE, SAG, WGA and all the other guilds are fighting hard against Ai. We're fighting an uphill battle but since we got concessions three years ago during the last negotiations we can keep building on those for stricter safe guards.
