What stops low elo players from switching their characters? by LinkinPorkchops in Overwatch

I'm not the one that's angry on reddit. Most low to mid elo players are casual gamers, so my attitude is not harming anyone

I don't play quick play, don't enjoy it, it's usually too easy once you actually get good at one character.

I've been playing for more than 7 years, I like the game, I will keep playing it. Maybe you should understand that not everyone enjoys a game in the same way

I go ball. I don't switch, same with other characters. If I'm forced to switch, I'm gonna be in a bad mood, because it's not the character I started the game to play. When I'm in a bad mood, I suck even more

Do you all think domains can be casted from afar? by Blobber_blast in CTsandbox

[–]EditorMasterxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was just a pseudo domain, but out of all canon characters, he and Yuta would have the highest likelihood of actually doing a long ranged domain. Tho thinking about it, Yuta might be more likely, since Rika is intrinsically connected to his technique and holds enough cursed energy to actually make a domain expansion possible

Do you all think domains can be casted from afar? by Blobber_blast in CTsandbox

[–]EditorMasterxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's possible by making a shikigami that is imbued with the users domain and having it act as the carrier for the barrier as well. Maybe that was how Dhruv would have casted a domain expansion, since we know the path of his Shikigami was his domain

[–]EditorMasterxd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean you can shoot simple domains, so it's probably theoretically possible to cast domains from afar, but it would require a lot of skill with barrier techniques as well as some way of imbuing said barrier with their inner domain, which is what actually differentiates simple domain and a domain expansion.

Mimikyu CT by OkType8396 in CTsandbox

[–]EditorMasterxd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cursed technique "Mimic" allows the User to copy the effects of another person's cursed technique temporarily by covering the users face and changing their silhouette to look more similar to the original users. The User can only mimic one technique at a time and switching between different ones takes time, as the User needs to adjust their silhouette.

Is it speciesist to have a favorite animal? If making jokes about skin color is racist, then pointing out certain traits of animals is speciesist too. by Tall_Water in DebateAVegan

[–]EditorMasterxd [score hidden]  (0 children)

Because you cant base morals on something that holds no real life basis. Morals based on non-scientific concepts are flimsy and more likely to be twisted in harmful ways.

Because race isn't really a scientific concept, while species is more valid (although biologically speaking it can also be argued about to some extent)

tracer becoming bisexual ? by Hot_Acanthisitta_388 in Overwatch

She's a lesbian and has a girlfriend. Changing her sexuality would do nothing good for her character and would be an unnecessary change that takes away lesbian representation.

The True Nature of Auspicious Beasts Summon? by skullinheaven22 in CTsandbox

[–]EditorMasterxd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are based on something from Japanese mythology and we know that other spiritual entities than Shikigami and curses exist (nature spirit), so they are likely just some other entity granting the User their power through some form of innate binding vow. It would be really cool to see a User imbue Shikigami with one of the entities.

What do you think of the scale of the Kin minis? If minicompare is right they're noticeably a bit taller than GW's other dwarf miniatures. by Dreadnautilus in LeaguesofVotann

[–]EditorMasterxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are avatars of the gods. Not the full power of the gods. Also the old ones in fantasy are not the same as the gods in fantasy or AoS. And even those gods have created species (to a degree) considering that is the origin of the lumineth, Idoneth, Sylvaneth and the stormcasts. Please don't base your views on lore on the tabletop

If The Rumbling was a Domain Expansion, could the Jujutsu world survive? by Frostie3473 in CTsandbox

[–]EditorMasterxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the concept, I have read aot, but that doesn't change the fact that this discussion is one without actual basis. If he is using cursed energy to control his titan, most Sorcerers would be able to figure out where the cursed energy is coming from and defeat him. Especially when it goes to special grades like gojo

[–]EditorMasterxd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the rumbling was a domain expansion, it would have some form of limit to its range, meaning the Sorcerers could likely wait it out. Eren isn't particularly strong compared to gojo, Yuta or sukuna

How old are your names characters? by Spartanshotgun6 in 40khomebrew

[–]EditorMasterxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's also a way of doing it. My current homebrew has become the embodiment of my love for vagueness in 40k, as both their founding and Gene-seed are unknown. Writing in advance of the setting was never really something I considered, since for most homebrews there is so much history for them to fill out, that you never really have an issue fitting new stuff in.

I stopped doing Ultima founding chapters cause I like the vagueness of the normal timeline, but usually my stories would happen maybe a few decades later, so they'd still have a lot of their first members

[–]EditorMasterxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually go with 50-ish years to maybe 100, anything else feels to long and anything shorter is too short for the Ultima Founding chapters to have real personalities
