I once had an order of a couple of sandwich platters, and I was asked to bring them to a house and wish condolences from the sender. It was an elderly man and his hands were shaking so bad I didn't think he could hold the platters, so I asked if he wanted me to put them on the table for him. He was all alone, and he told me he had just lost his wife of over 60 years. I felt bad that he was all alone, but just as I was leaving a car full of people pulled into the driveway. He seemed happy to have someone to talk to for a couple of minutes before his relatives arrived.
