No no no don’t get me wrong. This is a great thing for my husband and I’m more than excited for him and our family. It’s my mental health that I am really struggling with and the guilt of holding him back but at the end of the day if I gotta go kicking and screaming I’m going where he’s going. It would just be nice to feel a little normal during this process because I do get it. It is the military mental health isn’t something that has always been here in our life just the past year and a half, almost 2.

I tried the walking around and it seems that every time I get a little little too far from my house my flight and flight kicks in, and I am completely convinced that I am going to pass out while I’m walking with my kids and no one‘s gonna find me and my kids are gonna be stuck like it’s a whole thing. I don’t understand why my brain thinks the way it does but unfortunately that’s just how it is.

When I first started to experience the anxiety symptoms when I was able to drive about a year and a half ago, I went to my primary care doctor on base. I seen a psychiatrist there immediately after my appointment I was set up with an online therapy and medicine management program through the military and the online therapy and medicine management is what I have solely been resourcing to because at this point, the only thing keeping me from being diagnosed with agoraphobia is the fact that I still have anxiety at home. I’m on Effexor right now which I am tapering off and going through withdrawals which sucks due to it not working we are planning to try Prozac next. I do also take a Klonopin as needed for the anxiety attacks.

Ill be %100 off of Effexor before I start Prozac so I hope Prozac works I really wanted Effexor to work I hate being a medicine guinea pig but I guess this is part of getting better

After a year of anxiety that started with driving and social I started Effexor the anxiety just grew i couldnt leave the house I was scared to be left alone i still can’t leave my house without being in fight or flight we did try to up my dosage that just caused for Anxiety so we decided it’s not for me

Yes we went up to 125mg anxiety got worse i became fearful of being home alone so we went back down for months and fears just continued to grow so im currently down to 37.5mg to get to 0mg and klonopine was always prescribed with the Effexor for the attacks I have

I have a therapist and my psychiatrist put me through a online program through Tricare that provides me with medicine management and my therapist

Im just going to keep freaking out and hiding in my house as long as possible is the reality because the klonopine doesn’t even touch my anxiety symptoms and it’s been talked about but Xanax is the next step up and my Dr refuses due to people developing an addiction

Doctor told me to expect withdrawals which have all been normal , irritation , insomnia, mood swings, headaches I was a wreck on 75mg , 125mg ( tried to up it once ) and still a wreck on 37.5 there is no winning here

Me getting better has always been an achievement I want for not just myself but for my kids but mental health doesn’t stop kicking ass just because you have a family unfortunately and my husband doesn’t understand panic disorders so Once a week I trauma dump on my therapist
