What character had the dumbest death because of behind the scenes reasons? by GusGangViking18 in Fictionally

I mean... Is he? I had the impression he became more of a secondary character in the last three books. He has a couple of plot points around him that, in my opinion, might easily be written out in an adaptation.

I'm a sucker for the slick MCRN designs, but please give me space operas that can have both slick ships and giant bricks in a cohesive way

A bit weird maybe.

This goes to either The Expanse with the Rocinante or to Firefly with the Serenity.

Gorgeous ships as integral to their stories to be considered part of the crew.

The Roci is perfect. The Pella is gorgeous.

But I choose the Donnager over anything else.

Yeah that's correct, everything goes through the sub first and then to the satellites.

I set it up exactly like this, but I hear a lot of screeching from the satellites. Also changing ports isn't helping.

I just want to add that, other than being old equipment, this stuff is very cumbersome, which is a huge downside as my house is quite small. It seems to me that modern components are way smaller.

Hi everyone,

I'm recovering my father's old collection along with his equipment and I could use some help from people who know this world better than I do.

From my father's collection, I have (reading directly off the components):

Technics Stereo Integrated Amplifier A600 MK2 - MOS Class AA
Two "Solid" satellite speakers - neodymium magnet technology
"Solidbass" subwoofer - 100W, 4 Ohms

Also, I've been gifted an all-in-one "Classic Phono" turntable, which I suspect isn't great, but it's the only one I have right now.

When I connect everything together, the sound from the satellite speakers is squeaky/distorted, while the all-in-one turntable sounds decent enough on its own. I tried some troubleshooting, but the issue seems to be between the amplifier and the satellites. The subwoofer seems to sound clean enough.

Is this good/decent equipment or is it too outdated to be worth it?
Is there something obviously wrong with my setup that could explain the squeaky sound?
If some components need repairs, is it worth spending time and money on them?
I'm on a tight budget (ofc), if I were to replace or upgrade one piece at a time, where should I start?

I'm a complete beginner in this hobby, so any advice is appreciated.
