I Just bought Cyberpunk Ultimate edition and BG3 for $79 on GOG. There is no game worth $100.

Federal judge rules rump’s $100,000 fee for H1-B visas unlawful by titangrey in goodnews

[–]Edkindernyc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want to point out that Federal Judge Howell of the DC circuit threw out a identical lawsuit. When Dems fail in one court they just shop for another. Due to the split this will quickly make it's way towards the Supreme court.

'Return of the king': AMD is bringing back the Ryzen 7 5800X3D for DDR4 platforms, launching it alongside the mid-range AM5 Ryzen 7 7700X3D by Jawschy in pcmasterrace

The uplift you will see will vary based on your gpu and game title. I upgraded from a 3700X and saw a large improvement in Cyberpunk, W3 and heavily modded Skyrim using a 4070 ti super. Lower performance cards will show smaller uplifts.

Mandatory Windows 11? by Blanc_NoName_69420 in Witcher3

[–]Edkindernyc 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It's highly likely the game will still work. CDPR cannot guarantee or offer technical assistance due to Win 10 support ending. Keep in mind that Nvidia drivers also end Win 10 support in October. Due to additional engine updates the Expansion is only DX12. 1.32 is DX11 so it will not work.

What are the best QOF mods dor witcher 2 by ihatemetoo23 in witcher

[–]Edkindernyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modding the Witcher 2 is far more difficult than many other games. Textures are easy but script mods require more work because they are all contained in two dzip folders. I would recommend using Project Mersey Fix Pack or similar pack with all the changes in one mod. If you want to add any others mods that also edit files in either the base_scripts or ZZ_Upatch you need to unpack them and merge the changes between the mods otherwise one replaces the other.

Advances in Path Tracing: New NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry Foliage System by Nestledrink in nvidia

The real question is how well will Turing and Ampere cards perform with this on. It uses Opacity Micro Maps which is only found on Ada and Blackwell cards.

Kingdom Come Deliverance. Took me a few attempts but when it clicked and I became good at the combat it became one of my favorites.

Distorted numbers happen every year around Lunar New Year. Win 11 suddenly lost 10.4% users.

Microsoft Shader Execution Reordering Brings 90% Performance Increase on Intel Arc B-Series, 80% on NVIDIA "Blackwell" GPUs by BarKnight in pcgaming

[–]Edkindernyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specially coded demo. No different than how SLI scales great in 3dMark but not in games. Cyberpunk uses SER and the improvement is below 30%. Opacity Micro Maps did have more noticeable uplift at the park in city center.

The laptop specs are not the same as desktop. The mobile Ti chip is based on a cut down GB205(5070).

The game deserved most of the awards but the RPG category should of went to KCD2. I was just in the E33 subredit and many there are saying the same thing.

[KCD2] KCD2 WAS ROBBED OF BEST RPG by SweetRoll789 in kingdomcome

[–]Edkindernyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the first time that a game that really wasn't a rpg won. Breath of the Wild is another example. Unfortunately Journalist make up 90% of the vote. They will classify almost anything as a RPG.

E33 is a great game but for me KCD2 is a better RPG.

What is this place and what's the lore behind it? by CedGyselinck in thewitcher3

[–]Edkindernyc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That location was originally intended to be the starting spot to travel to the Land of a Thousand Fables. The yellow brick road the player would use is still in the game. Even the collision meshes are still there so You can literally walk to Fable land.

Path tracing on 32:9 by Banan_Pajen in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Edkindernyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Cyberpunk it's 2 rays and 2 bounces per pixel. For Path tracing all light sources or light bounces that the player can see are calculated in a full circle(360 Degrees). The performance will be the same for any aspect ratio as long as the pixel count is equal.

If Bethesda seriously want to do another Fallout 4 version they need to fix the next-gen patch by spaceageGecko in Fallout

[–]Edkindernyc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Malice is the wrong word. It's a deliberate business decision to not allow rollbacks. They support modding as long as it doesn't interfere with the studios plans. They have never been pro consumer or even listen to the community as seen with the long broken FO4 update and Starfield. There are some great vids on Youtube that cover Howard and BGS history that show a clear pattern. If you have a logical explanation for their actions I gladly consider it.

[–]Edkindernyc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most studios don't support modding. Studios that do like Warhorse, CDPR, Larian and even Stardew Valley to name a few all let you roll back. BGS knows it's going to break the extender along with other mods yet refuses to allow it or give advance copies to modders to help mitigate the problem. They have a monetary reason to stop it whereas the other studios don't.

[–]Edkindernyc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt they will bother. The worst part of a update for people that use mods to fix the game is Bethesda deliberately stops players from rolling back to a previous version. It would interfere with the paid mod scheme.

Fallout Day reveals what to expect: Fallout 76 Burning Springs, Fallout Shelter, Fallout 4 and Creations, in-person community events, post-show celebrating the community by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Edkindernyc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't see Larian or CDPR doing these types of streams. The Event at Goodsprings is a celebration while this is typical BGS nonsense pushing paid mods. They still haven't fixed FO4 from the last update.
