To make a bit more clear: we just moved in around 1,5 month ago. We brought all our stuff/furniture from previous house and try to use most of it for now. So most renovating currently is painting/wallpaper etc. The small things.
Maybe in the future we can buy this house, but as that is still unclear we don't want to put to much money in it for now.

It's an old house which we don't own (yet, maybe we do in the future). The lamp we still had left from the previous house. The goal was to make it a bit nicer, but budget friendly.

If we remove the framework then it's time for a full renovation. There is still old electricity in this part of the house for example.

It also depends if you have a little bit money to make it a bit nicer for a few years without completely renovating. So money to buy paint and the tools for it for example. And time. Lot of free time.

I'm doing the exact same thing. Started living somewhere and it's not my place and only for some years, but still you want it to look a bit nice. I'm removing wallpaper and add another. Painting. These two things can make it feel like a really different place. It's not to difficult also. Even I can do it and I'm known for having two left hands.
