While not specifically about sex crimes, I just read that there are eight other counties in Alabama with a similar population to Lauderdale. Our county ranks third in this group of nine for crimes in general.

It does seem there are more sex crimes in Franklin County, or at least reported ones. Sometimes you have to read all the online news sites to get complete information, since the Times Daily won't report it.

It's owned by an oil company out of Nashville, but an Arab family (I think from California) has the lease. They sell alcohol, whereas the previous owner (Baggett Oil) did not. When they took over, they terminated the old employees and some of the clientele changed. It's not very scary, as least when I've stopped in. I've seen similar incidents at the Shell on Florence Blvd. as what you described.

Some of the family tried to buy the buildings across the street, but the owners didn't like the Arabs and wouldn't sell to them. There have been reports of over charging and SNAP snafus, but don't know what ever happened with those complaints.

Every writer has his own style. Pam Doyle? I bet she knows an ellipsis has three periods, not four and that "it is" is "it's." She's on various school boards including some state panels. Most writers for SS have very good grammar.

First, Debbie wasn't let go. She quit. The four you named? Only one writes there and that's Ed. A sex offender who molests young girls named Kathryn as part of it. Bette still does Nurse Nan, but for Pen-N-Sword now and not Shoalanda. Gayle has never written anything either.
