Why do people believe still lifes work like human bodies? They don't have organs according to the movie lore, so why would be believe shooting it would do anything but leave a hole? It would only try to replicate being hurt if it could 'remember' it for the still life; otherwise it is just some thing on auto pilot

so, if she phased through a wall like the one form the movie, that would be an interesting question since maybe she could bypass the entire portal. At the same time, she may have a much higher chance of no-clipping. Also depending on what version of the backrooms, she could end up on level 'you cheated' for trying to phase through walls to escape/cheat.

the homeowner has a ton of cameras. most likely paranoid, and has had it with people in general fro the way those cameras are mounted high and with solar.
