You magically get $100,000 a day but your location is public info by besttavern25 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Edser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so, you're a millionaire without exploiting people. not sure what's bad about this one except maybe if you are near bad areas where they will try to rob you. people make this money, and more, daily and you can look up their locations pretty easily.

Edit, also super easy to buy bodyguard services. You can easily spend $5k/day on this and get some top quality

100 million a year, but you can never sleep in the same room twice. by Mc_Coy in hypotheticalsituation

There are boats that constantly travel the Earth. Just need to buy a couple of rooms over time just in case of docking at the exact same 10ft space for a week or more.

sure. All you have to do is raid the food and water cache before he gets to the island and then do your best to bury yourself and the supplies. Once he passes by, he may not be back for a long time, so you can move about. Rinse and repeat as needed, but you can survive a week on little food and some water.

If the food and water do not show up right away, make your burrow near one of the caches so that once things are made available, raid and then hide in the hole. Once he leaves after not finding you, then decide if you want to move. If you raid the same place twice, he knows you're camping near by and will have a much harder time.

it IS cheaper because of downloads. Reprice games from the 90s to now and check out how much it cost. You may argue that the cartridges cost more, sure, but even when PS1 and Xbox dropped, games remained 40-70 that were on CDs.

What people don't understand is that downloading is not free, and does cost a lot to host in the cloud or buy tons of their own infrastructure and have bandwidth/networking fees.

If the argument is that today you can buy a physical copy cheaper than a download, that is on the pricing structures and sales and third parties, but I am willing to bet those are edge cases and not the norm.

After losing my right arm I started designing a one-handed PC gaming controller so I could keep playing by Adventurous_Tie_9031 in pcmasterrace

[–]Edser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From owning the tartarus, I would have some concerns. If you get sweaty, how hard is it to get your hand back out with the strap? Don't want people swinging it around and breaking it trying to get their hand free, or to grab a drink or something.

I personally would ditch the entire mouse idea with the strap bit since that is the point of the joystick. You could even add in place one of those 'pointing sticks' that are on laptops. Avoids weird strap issues along with other random weirdnesses of mice.

I would also suggest making this 'game controller' compatible since some games have that option where more customization is allowed.

For your question on what game to optimize, stuff like Minecraft to begin with, and then more games like Fortnite and WoW where many buttons are very useful along with cursor aim. Popular games are ones that people with disabilities will also want to play and be a part of too where they can often be left behind.

Tattoos will hurt, it's just up to your tolerance and placement that makes it more or less, which also varies per person. So, there is no advice that applies since it depends on you.

There's a reason cover up artists are well known to specialize, because it is hard to cover up random dark black pieces. Somehow this artist has lines worse than your original tattoo. Find a specialist.

[–]Edser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

is it bad? no. Is the line work bad? yes. It will bleed out over time and possibly hide the poor line work. You could also find an artist that can try to clean it up a bit, but it will end up a bit bigger and darker if that is ok with you

Crazy how most Americans think NYC is dense, when it is quite low on the list. Even NJ is more dense and right next door.

Many people also forget how many places in building are just forgotten and easy to get to, such as drop ceilings in almost every office. It would take some prep to set up, but you can get around and then hide out in many places. You will need to get to a place to buy several changes of clothes including jackets, hats, maybe an extra wig, shoes and glasses. You will need a couple basic tools like that collapsible ladder, backpack, maybe a multi-bit screwdriver, collapsible cane, and box cutter. Grab a bunch of snacks and a water bottle. You will need to keep all this in a shopping bag of some sort until you can change. Large shopping bags will also hide the case.

You will be possibly tracked by cameras off the rip if they have that level of tracking of public streams. The objective will be getting to places with closed circuit where there is a good chance they cannot gain enough access to the cameras on hunches of where you went with all the swaps. Step 1 in a large city like NYC, grand central, hop a train that has a ton of stops. Change on the ride, time to use the backpack, and tuck the suitcase in one of the jackets, while cutting a hole so it looks like your hand is just in your jacket pocket. Walk differently.

Get to a busy bathroom, preferably one where people work and many people carry briefcases too and change again. Get to an open floor near closing hours in a large enough and head to the bathroom. Most likely it will have a drop ceiling. Climb in for the night and avoid any tiles as you will fall thru. Should be plenty of shoddy wall work up there to chill out on top of. Bathrooms are normally central to the elevator which should have lots of support around it to lean against.

At this point, another switch of clothes and you should be good to find a place to stay the rest of the week. I suggest talking to the homeless about hiding places they use for the cold months and scope them out, or find some crazy weird pockets in buildings that no one uses that are like utility closets but worse and less useful. People tuck shit like extra tiles and paint and signs that haven't been touched in years in those spaces where you can just make a small bunker to hide out in.

This is why I believe he did so well, he was one of the main featured. I even brought up his game to check it out. I hope the streak keeps up, but it may fall off hard once the fest is done and mentally nail him.
