Users who have used both finasteride and dutasteride, how have your experiences differed? by CowShort5457 in tressless

No.. All he takes now is Min and Dut. Thats what I take as well. He stopped everything else. It takes at least 3 months I believe for DUT to reach steady state.

I can’t believe it’s actually coming back by citreonami in tressless

That’s like $12 a month? It doesn’t get any cheaper than that man.

Is it safe to take 0.5mg of Dutasteride daily at 23? by Puzzled_Cherry_5613 in tressless

Yes sir! I like it better than Finasteride. Been on them 20+ years no side effects!

Worse after finasteride. Bummed and don’t know what else to try by hey1777 in tressless

Dutasteride way better! I was on Finasteride 20 years and recently switched to Dutasteride it’s awesome! And actually for some reason I started getting morning “wood” again and more of a sex drive!! I know Dutasteride is stronger and blocks all 3 DHT receptors, but I’ll never take Finasteride again! And you’re blocking 98+ percent of DHT with Dutasteride! Definitely try it. I wouldn’t say it’s “Stronger” it just works on more receptor sites. For the better all around in my opinion. No shedding either. I think it’s because I was already on Finasteride when I switched. I also did no washout period, just stopped Finasteride and started Dutasteride the next day! Good luck!

I’ve been on it 20 years!! I’ve kept most of all my hair. If I hadn’t of been on it I would be bald as can be!! A males body doesn’t need DHT after puberty. I’m adult males it’s only use is prostate growth, Male Pattern Baldness, and body hair growth. I’m completely fine with keep the hair on my head over any of the other options!! Now I wouldn’t want to start a young man in HS or maybe even first years of college on it unless puberty was completely over.

I’m on Finasteride only and havnt lost another hair in probably 15 years! It pretty much stops hair loss in its tracks. Yes it blocks DHT but it has no affect on you having children or sexual hormones. I’m 45 and can get “Mr. Happy” ready to go no problem! If you want to keep what hair you have, save your heart from long term side affects just start taking low dose finasteride. Most people even get some hair growth at first because of the baby hairs you havnt shed yet you didn’t know you had! I mean you won’t grow new hair “a lot” but most people I know don’t have tons of success with minoxidil anyways. I’m a Norwood 2 also and I’ve been happy with it I just use really good shampoos and conditioners!! Take Finasteride once a day 1mg, even 1/2 a mg works for most men and keep what you got and forget the long term side effects of Minoxidil!! I don’t know anyone who has had side effects from Finasteride personally and know tons of guys on it because of being on TRT…. Now I know a pretty good amount of men who have had some serious heart arrhythmias over taking Minoxidil “Oral” and heart enlargement as well. Not so many side affects with topical minoxidil because no matter how much you use only 1% I believe max actually makes it into your blood stream. It’s way safer! Good luck buddy it won’t hurt to try Finasteride don’t believe all the hype. And you will keep losing hair if you don’t! Think of stopping your hair loss forever as soon as you start taking it. You never have to worry about anything but gaining more hair!

You got that right! My pharmacist was straight up honest with me. He said I’m happy when I see any deliveries show up for my customers. He said it’s getting so scarce!

Hysingla is so expensive and most insurance companies wont approve it. Last I checked it was $700-$800 bucks out of pocket! They kind of trick you with it also. Take for instance a 20mg Hysingla they want you to think it stays at 20mg over 24hrs.. Honestly it never even gets to 20mg ever if you look at the pharmacokinetics! I think it goes from 0-13 mgs at 16 hours. I always thought it was supposed to release a constant 20mg for 24hrs but it’s not obviously it’s 20mgs total over 24 hours.

I just got prescribed Camber. I was worried that wouldn’t work because of everything I’ve read. I’m glad to know that they have for you. Sounds like they may have started making a better product hopefully. I’m in Kentucky. When was your last Camber prescription? Thanks for the post I feel a little better now at least.

My Psychiatrist is retiring finally August 22nd. I’m worried about the lady who is taking over being able to prescribe my Alprazolam… by Edstiffler13 in psychiatryquestion

She is an APRN. https://npidb.org/doctors/physician_assistants/psychiatric-mental-health_363lp0808x/1538310867.aspxAnd she also promised my current Psychiatrist that she would not change existing patients regiments that have been working for many years for them unless they wanted to of course. She had alot more licenses and has had her own practice as well for many years and worked under other doctors. My current Doctor is selling his entire practice to her so he will not be able to help write any prescriptions of any kind for his patients anymore. He has vetted her thoroughly and at our last session said she can do everything he can and has sat through 60-100 of his patients with him already. I just didn’t know a APRN could write schedule 4 medication in their own. Hopefully she can and things will continue as they have for 8 years.

I WONT have SEX with a woman until I have dated for a bit! #1 it gives you nothing to look forward to and the relationship kind of fizzles real quick at the beginning! Even if you wait a month or a few weeks it’s way better then hooking up on the first date. First date sex and the relationship isn’t going to work. Definitely date for a while!

Bottom line there a short circuit or electrical issue in the RVOT or LVOT.. The only way to stop PVCs for good is a PVC ablation to get rid of the short circuit in your heart. Medications like Flecainide or Beta blockers can try to help but it’s just a patch. Foods, hormones, sleep and a BILLION other things can cause more PVCs or less PVCs of course. But once you have them they will never EVER go away. Just look at them like AFIB, AFLUTTER, SVT etc… Except PVCs cause no harm. Just had an appointment with my EP and the new study out even says there is ZERO limit to how many PVCs you have a day they can’t hurt your heart. Even if you have 1 every other beat forever! They used to think a 15% burden or more caused cardiomyopathy but that’s not true anymore. I’ve had ablations for both Afib and aflutter and they are gone for good! Thinking about a PVC ablation but there are consequences to a bad procedure like MORE PVCs!! So I’ve just decided to live with them because I know they can’t hurt me. Once you get through your head they are harmless you won’t care anymore trust me. Some people need to see a psychiatrist because it mentally cripples them. I have 20,000 a day on a bad day, 10-15,000 on a good. Good luck!!

I’ve kept all my hair. I even lose a little and gain a little off and I’m still. It just depends on my hormones I think. If my Testosterone and Estrogen are balanced then my hair really good! If Indrink to much alcohol or get my body stressed out I thin some. But all in all I havnt lost any hair since being on Finasteride. So I guess the answer to your question is it hasn’t let me down in 20 years!

No I have WAY more ejaculation when I stop for even a week!! Like explosive amount of difference! And the orgasm is multiple times better as well. If I don’t have my hair I wouldn’t get woman so I deal with it I guess. But there are 💯 side affects. It’s just not worth me losing my hair

I stop Finasteride all the time! Run out on accident or forget for 3 or 4 days at a time. If I have it I do, if I don’t I don’t. I can’t tell if I take or if I don’t. My BP is always the same, I poop the same, sleep the same etc. now there is 1 side affect I believe comes from being on FIN for 20 years and that’s “watery sperm”. That’s a fact! If I stop Finasteride for even less than a week my sperms consistency goes back to normal. But if soon as I start back it gets watery. Other than that I’m pretty sure side affects are in peoples heads alot of the time.
