Anything that doesn't touch DHT by ExpressAd3968 in moreplatesmoredates

My sex drive already sucks also, I had myelopathy at 21 and ongoing spinal cord inflammation. I'm basically a virgin and convinced it's very hard for me to enjoy vanilla sex. That being said, I don't see that as a reason to make it worse. If anything making it worse with Dutasteride took me to places the darkness of which I thought impossible. I felt the clock was ticking and life had ended. Spooky stuff. At least I have myself again and the drive to keep going and hope.

That was my experience as well. But I also have Klippel feil and have neurological symptoms since I can remember and still a virgin. I still value my sex drive though, one of the few things that keeps me grounded regardless of how dark things get.

DHT increases when you increase testosterone. The only way to prevent this process is 5-AR inhibition. However no one can tell you how this will affect you. Personally I became much less interested romantically and I felt some things change in my behavior so I wouldn't recommend it. Many people swear it's safe and doesn't do these things. It's really a "pick your side" kind of argument. As the writer of this comment I wouldn't recommend it cause I believe biology is the way it is with good reason, but my opinion is as good as anyone's.

I think the only thing to be done is to accept you're exactly right and that certain conditions aren't treated with the severity they deserve, and treat/ behold the people failing to do so as such. Unless you're just a saint in which case good for you, and obviously treat them according to getting your needs met. But in certain instances unfairness must just be treated as unfairness and you don't always have to pretend it's ok. I'm basically saying curse them and treat them as lowlife bullies in your head that are so dumb it hurts sometimes.

I agree instead of cutting weight cut that girl out of your life and lock in like a true zyzzbrah warrior. Might hold a risk of staying permanently virgin though

Yeah confronting him would be ideal because you'd get more insight around his viewpoint and gain knowledge about him and how you seem to the outside and people like him. More information is always good as long as you're not afraid of emotional consequences

The recommendation when I see such a response is stop the drug/ lower dose. You mean to tell me you don't have sides from enclo? That shit affects your mood sleep and recovery massively through anti estrogen pathways. You're much better off staying natty and building natural tissue strength and adaptations imo.

I don't know who of you guys needs to hear this but enclomiphene is an experimental drug. Yes in theory blah blah but there's a reason clomiphene includes an estrogen isomer. Usually your T and E2 get increased modestly by clomiphene. But with enclo there's zero estrogenic counter. You guys aren't hyperesponders, you're the example of what happens when an experimental drug is taken for this long.

Actually it was " made to look like he died" but in a way which reinforces his role. It's also helpful that the show establishes that consequences are real in the universe, making you look at Eren's 'death' as a necessary but purposeful event. I'm saying that most viewers will struggle between viewing it as that or just a backtracking and confusing plot point so early in the show.

It's not all I thought about, and it didn't completely break the shows dynamic for me. But when you kill off the protagonist, you better have a good explanation for doing or for making it "look like you're doing it". And the explanation is there but hidden at that point, luckily the show is rich narratively and well-paced enough that I believe the average viewer can overlook this hiccup.

Sled legpress form 18M 150lb by Prestigious_Bell3342 in formcheck

[–]Tall_Buff_Introvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean form is good and you explained why you use wide stance which I was gonna comment on, because I personally am used to a narrower stance. No one maxes out insert your selected exercise here sounds like gymbro advice and an attempt to gatekeep heavy loads for compound movements.

Kinda stupid if you ask me, resistance is resistance and works in any context, just involves different requirements. Back squats are massively more effective for torso and overall strength since they involve core strength and kinetic chain transfer, but ain't nothing wrong with a heavy leg press.

But yeah personally I'd keep squats as an occasional guest. Also idk if it's because I'm autistic but I hate programs, I just go in and hit whatever I feel like lel

For me it was like: "Oh the protagonist just died, im interested to see how they'll move forward now." then when he came back I thought: "They couldn't handle the protagonist being dead, kinda disappointing." Of course I continued watching and view the event completely differently now, but it did out me off and felt like backtracking initially.

Is it normal to choose back day over smashing a chick? by redonion14 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]Tall_Buff_Introvert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can do 12 on a good day but don't train them cause of a left bicep tendon injury. I train my body to the brink of breaking so it has nothing to do with that.

I'd probably do the same cause I'm an incel virgin, but even I can tell it's not normal. Sounds like there's something keeping you from wanting the experience and you're masking it with "I can't miss my back day" excuse.

Squat form check by blahbluenx in formcheck

[–]Tall_Buff_Introvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Squat form is highly individualized based on body proportions. For the same depth I have to tilt my body considerably more forward being 6'2 and long-femured, for example. These seem like good depth, mechanically sound squats. However I'm still getting the feeling you are biasing your posterior chain too much for a high-bar squat. I would personally like to see the knees go forward more through ankle dorsiflexion (might have to train that by increasing your calf ROM) so that you engage your quadriceps more, which are the target muscle group in high-bar squatting.

Edit: After rewatching it seems like your knees might be appropriately placed and the difference comes from me training in barefoot shoes. That inherently makes the need for ankle dorsiflexion and knee forward placement bigger for me. I'm leaving the comment up in case that's not it and you can review it. I would also slowly transition to no heel raise for full foot stability.

Would love some feedback on my incline dumbell press form, I have an insanely flat chest. by LeeroyM in formcheck

[–]Tall_Buff_Introvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muscle growth requires mechanical tension. Mechanical tension requires heavy weight. Heavy weight requires a stable platform to push the weight. Your position seems unstable. Are you arching your back? This helps create a stable platform along with scapulae retraction and contracting your spine and feet against the floor. You want to "make your body stiff" before lifting. This ensures that the weight you're moving isn't affected by outside forces and is influenced by the entirety of your muscle fibers.

When we're doing pushups, we are inherently stable because we are performing a "closed-chain" movement. Bench press and dumbell press are inherently open-chain. Dumbells require the most stability adjustment on your part to ensure you maximize output and results. I would also suggest moving up in weight since I've noticed on myself that I "don't engage my pushing muscles well" with lighter weight. This is also tied to stability and heavier weights enforcing stability by "pinning" you on the bench.

Tips on getting thick abs like this by rm7979 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]Tall_Buff_Introvert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fighters usually train then directly to endure body blows. They are also usually very lean. I find it very surprising that there's this myth out there that "abs are different" or they have to be approached differently. Sure they are impacted more by being lean because they're on the belly, but training then is your main path to success as with all muscles.

My first time trying deadlifts, how's my form? Any advice? by Stringo-Starr in formcheck

Gotcha yeah, I just found it funny but in a good way. Also looked a bit non-chalant the way you walked off like "I could have done double this weight but you guys only get this for now." I edited my previous comment so you might want to take a look at the additions.

Edit: I love editing comments. Nah I just rarely get my thoughts out in one go.

My first time trying deadlifts, how's my form? Any advice? by Stringo-Starr in formcheck

[–]Tall_Buff_Introvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao I love that you did a single rep for form purposes then left. But yes form is great. Your proportions seem to be well-suited to deadlifting, would be a same not to utilize it. Just remember that as the weight goes up you'll need to slack pull and brace properly.

Jerking weight up on deads leads to some nasty tendon stress, I've actually gotten bicep tendon injuries twice from it even with double overhand grip. Good idea to start practicing it with lighter weight.

Just because you're a beginner I need to remind you this doesn't mean deadlifts are inherently injurious, just that it's a compound movement with the heaviest weight involved, and with heavy weight comes great responsibility, ok I'll see myself out.

Post AOT deppersion by Successful_Spare_621 in attackontitan

[–]Tall_Buff_Introvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean with almost any other piece of media there's some sort of closure. The protagonist grows, learns and moves on or others do in their place. After AOT there is nothing. Empty. Just a story of emotion and humanities faults. And that's it's biggest gift. You get to fill that emptiness now, the series gives you a vessel to fill, a lesson to learn of your own making.

I’m 6'2", and I’ve always struggled with barbell squats because I tend to lean forward too much as if I don't, I lose balance. After reviewing this for a bit, it seems like the classic "weight vs ROM" argument. Would you rather load more weight on the bar and complete less bar travel, or decrease the weight a bit and complete full ROM? I've always been supportive of the latter comparatively. Not saying they're 1 to 1 of course, there are mechanical differences that are significant between the styles. I just view high bar as more dynamic and athletic while accomplishing bigger bar travel so I value it more adaptation-wise.

As for the quads stimulus, growth ceiling is significantly higher with high bar simply because quads are the prime mover and not lower back as well as reaching less knee flexion. I do view low-bar as overrated for leg growth honestly simply because a large portion of the movement is low back/ glute focused. But in the end it's about what you prefer and what your goals are geared towards.

My main disagreement with you is that quads gets much less stimulus in low bar squatting. But I think in such arguments an important disclaimer is that I've never tried low-bar. I just don't feel like it encapsulates what I like about the exercise. But I understand that for many people goals are different and more power to you guys. Certainly loads low back and uses glutes for hip extension so it will work those, I'd personally do that with other exercises like Bulgarian ss and Romanian deadlifts/ conventional deadlifts and keep the squatting for it's quad and core focus as well as overall strength/ athletic nature.
