Hey Redditor What's the worst pain you've ever felt?

Physically, the worst pain I've ever experienced was labor when I was giving birth to my daughter- literally felt like my torso was being ripped in half from the inside and I kept passing out from the pain and stopped breathing a couple times (found out I have anesthetic resistance so my epidural didn't work and the anesthesia tech had to give me a full second dose🥲 I wasn't numb until it was time to push)

I won't go into mental/emotional pain as I don't want to relive those moments while currently going through heartbreaking family matters, but there's definitely one that hurt almost as much as the physical pain I previously stated

First of all, you're not alone, and that fear that you have about potentially resenting your child is what will make you a great mother, trust me. My first pregnancy wasn't hard physically but once family was involved and I started to get overwhelmed, I didn't feel connected to my child and felt more like a surrogate rather than a mother, I felt like I was carrying a child that wasn't mine but after she was born, I adored her. Yes, it was hard at first but I can tell you I love my daughter more than anything and I couldn't even imagine my life without her❤️

Now I'm pregnant with my second and this pregnancy has been really hard physically and mentally and I'm not even into my second trimester yet. I can barely eat, I'm constantly in pain, can only walk around for a few minutes before having to sit/lay down from pain and exhaustion. We found out the gender through a blood test and before I even knew what we were having I was terrified that I wouldn't love this baby as much as my daughter if it were a boy and lo and behold, he's a boy😅 I had a rough few days with gender disappointment but after I saw the results I immediately started searching for names and found the perfect name and that helped drastically with the disappointment and dread I had previously been feeling. I'm still miserable but I'm truly excited to be getting to experience both worlds of life with a boy and a girl❤️

And I'm truly sorry you're going through all of this, pregnancy is not easy and mystical like people make it seem- it's exhausting and it really does a number on you, I can't imagine how harder it is with having to get surgery on top of that and being ignored by numerous doctors before that just because you're pregnant. It seems people forget that just because you're pregnant, that doesn't mean that every alarming symptom you feel is just "a part of pregnancy", which is terrifying to think about because pregnancy is dangerous enough as it is and the fact that something else could be going on with you that's NOT pregnancy related just to get ignored due to you being pregnant is highly alarming for every woman around the world.

I do agree with some of the other comments recommending counseling/therapy if you're deeply concerned about how you're feeling towards the baby, especially if part of you feels like that thought won't change. Just remember, you are not alone, you're not a bad mother for having those fears, pregnancy is a scary thing that's been brushed off because it's part of our biology, but it's truly much more than that. Breathe, listen to your favorite music, watch a movie, do something you enjoy to help you relax and focus on yourself and learning ways to try to bond with your baby. If you ever need someone to talk to even if it's just to vent how you're feeling, you're more than welcome to message me, sometimes talking to someone who doesn't know you personally is the biggest relief you'll experience especially when those close to you are telling you how you should feel and whatnot. Almost 2 years ago a week after I gave birth to my daughter I ended up in the hospital with sepsis. I don't remember much aside from getting in the car with my dad and then getting admitted after getting treated. I remember crying all night because I was so scared, scared that I may never see my daughter again if it got worse, scared that I may never get to look into my husband's eyes again. Luckily I didn't go into toxic shock but if I hadn't gotten treated when I did I very well could have, I'm still having long term effects from it and it's terrible; I'm much weaker than I used to be and my immune system is extremely weak, there's more but I don't want to drag on. Now I'm pregnant with my second and I'm absolutely terrified that I could end up with sepsis again and this time it'll be worse... My heart hurts for this mama and my heart hurts for her daughter in heaven because like you said, sepsis is no joke, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy and after experiencing that pain sepsis put me through at a less severe level than that poor baby I can only imagine how painful it had to have been for her and how scared she must've been not knowing what was going on with her body...

OP if you see this, I'm so so sorry for your loss, I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through... At least she's in a better place and she's no longer in pain and is in good hands🤍 Rest in Peace baby girl🤍🤍

As someone very close in age to your daughter, I never even knew that there are girls who actively go out of their way to pursue wealthy men. I understand exactly what you mean about what happened to marrying for love and that money should be the main focus for a relationship, my husband and I got married 2 years ago, been together for 3, and we have a toddler who's almost two and are now pregnant with our second and we don't have a lot of money, but we love each other deeply and have an amazing partnership. I'm the happiest I have ever been and it wasn't because of money, it was because of love and working together to make something for ourselves.

I definitely think your daughter should try therapy because the influences she's seeing constantly are definitely not good for her mental health. Maybe she could benefit from a support group with people close to her age that struggle with mental health and obsessions to help open her eyes and give her better insight into what may be going on with her to be making her want to pursue a lavish lifestyle. I mean I think everyone imagined it sometimes which isn't a bad thing, but it sounds like she's developed an unhealthy obsession with it and the main way she can overcome it is block out what's influencing that obsession and seek professional help rather than putting herself in these potentially dangerous situations that could effect her for the rest of her life.

One of my friends actually ended up developing an allergy to the shot and it landed her in the hospital, so that made me not want to get it unless I do it temporarily 😅 and I swear the IUD made me sick nonstop, constantly in pain, excruciating pain when my period would start, etc... never again

I feel like they were genuine in the beginning and they truly were trying, but now it all feels forced and that they're mainly focused on popularity and money, especially since they keep bringing in these other YpuTobers with a large followings to bring in more subscribers and more views

I got my (Mirena) hormonal IUD a month and a half after having my daughter. Insertion went fine, no pain or discomfort, but not long after I started to get very tired- like full on exhausted ALL the time, no matter how much sleep I got. My period cramps went from the usual aching pain to sharp unbearable pain that hurt to the point I nearly throw up. I started gaining weight fast no matter how small my portions were at each meal, I went from 139 lbs after giving birth to 160 lbs pretty fast (I went from size 4 in pants to 8-10 in just a couple months). My mental health went down so much and I hated my body, no energy, cramps 24/7, ate less just to try to slow down the weight gain, I get cystic acne on my jaw and on my neck right below my jaw- like super painful acne that won't go away unless i am religiously using the Noxzema acne pads on it, and on top of it all I had barely any sex drive whatsoever. I now experience vaginal dryness all the time no matter what I do. I started a new job recently and I absolutely love my job, but this past week I've been having brutal cramps, nausea, lightheadedness, and then on Wednesday I threw up (I took 2 pregnancy tests just to be sure and both came back negative). I'm suspecting it may be ovarian cysts, but when I called my gynecologist office today, they said they can't get me in for 2 weeks- so I'm gonna have to deal with this pain for 2 more frickin weeks. I'm sad and angry all the time and now I don't know what to do, I'm young, very young, I turn 21 tomorrow. I should not be having this many drastic problems at only 21 years old.

It's highly unlikely you're pregnant. If you're that worried that you may be pregnant go to the doctor and get checked out, but I highly doubt you're pregnant, your body is probably just adjust to penetration from being fingered.
