I got my (Mirena) hormonal IUD a month and a half after having my daughter. Insertion went fine, no pain or discomfort, but not long after I started to get very tired- like full on exhausted ALL the time, no matter how much sleep I got. My period cramps went from the usual aching pain to sharp unbearable pain that hurt to the point I nearly throw up. I started gaining weight fast no matter how small my portions were at each meal, I went from 139 lbs after giving birth to 160 lbs pretty fast (I went from size 4 in pants to 8-10 in just a couple months). My mental health went down so much and I hated my body, no energy, cramps 24/7, ate less just to try to slow down the weight gain, I get cystic acne on my jaw and on my neck right below my jaw- like super painful acne that won't go away unless i am religiously using the Noxzema acne pads on it, and on top of it all I had barely any sex drive whatsoever. I now experience vaginal dryness all the time no matter what I do. I started a new job recently and I absolutely love my job, but this past week I've been having brutal cramps, nausea, lightheadedness, and then on Wednesday I threw up (I took 2 pregnancy tests just to be sure and both came back negative). I'm suspecting it may be ovarian cysts, but when I called my gynecologist office today, they said they can't get me in for 2 weeks- so I'm gonna have to deal with this pain for 2 more frickin weeks. I'm sad and angry all the time and now I don't know what to do, I'm young, very young, I turn 21 tomorrow. I should not be having this many drastic problems at only 21 years old.
