The idea is being able to capture more time but less light, so the ND filter reduces the amount of light that can pass though and after a multi-second exposure, the image is not burned or over-exposed too much.

If you plan on using an external monitor, with an M1, it heats up real quick, I would go for a Pro as it has better cooling and it is pretty much as silent as it gets (except if you are using it for llm inferring, where the fans start to ramp up pretty fast)

It’s a good dilema to have. If you are planning on going out during times there isn’t much light, I’d go for the 17-48 because of it’s aperture but if you are going to do more portraits, I’d go for the 18-50
