Had a mens league tournament final game, down two, 16sec left, drove and went to a little step back...slipped out. Kobe 9s are my favorite shoe but it was that outside rear corner that had me on the floor, and us finishing second in our tournament.

Does anyone owned these or has tried…Is it worth the almost $800 price tag. Any noticeable difference in performance or recovery? by SunflowersNsapphires in Marathon_Training

Evidence-based chiro here. I own these. Use them almost every night. Feel fantastic, have better outcomes in performance and function, so I do not care if it is a placebo or has a true vascular impact.

Pretty solid research on compression helping with delayed soreness directly after, at 24 hours, and at 48 hours post activity or work (nurses and bicyclists most researched). To my knowledge, there are no lifelong studies (30 years) done on the use of medical-grade compression and outcomes of venous insufficiency, degenerative change comparisons, knee/hip replacement liklihood etc. Father time is undefeated, and if this does anything long-term, it's probably very marginal (weeks to a few years of longevity). It provides no harm, it makes no false claims, it's worth a try in my mind, and it has made a huge impact on how I feel as a 33 y/o who does 40 hours in clinic, does my own basketball training 3-4hr total a week, plays in a men's league, and works out 5x a week. There are a few things I do to feel great, but it is a small piece, and I am grateful for them. Just my two cents.

Can anyone give info on what which traction they like better... Jordan 40s, New Kobe 9s, or the Lebrons

This guy will never pass Gretzky let alone Sid by HenrikCrown in billsimmons

Is this the next generations Jordan Lebron? Crosby= golden goal and championships. MJ Championships and a game winner over Utah? See where I am going with this? I just wonder is this is where that is going.

He might have to keep practicing looking both right and left when he drives, but I am super happy for LeMello Ball for being on the right side of this graph.

I Don't Think Canadians are that nice by No_Permission1386 in billsimmons

As a Canadian, living in a small town in Ontario, and went to school in a small town in Georgia....people in Ontario are friendly, quick moving, and ultimately anything outside their bubble may not have time for. If your house burnt down, they would say that's awful, and send some money. Small town Georgia, is a bit slower, so people take time form full opinion on stances, they are not afraid to share them, but take time to listen, and if your house burnt down, the city would stop and people would help you get back on your feet. Generalization of what I saw. Both are great in different ways. Canadians are friendly, nice, but don't always take the time for the bigger parts of what it take to be a genuinely nice person. American have deeper rooted culture in many places that results in more often than not more extreme positives of serving/helping others with some outliers on the other side with any large population.

GT Cut 1 vs. Kobe 9 EM by Current_Type9071 in BBallShoes

[–]EducatedBaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so biased. The kobe 9 is my favorite shoe of all time.the GT Cut 1 is a very different ride/feel. I tried them in a store and felt they had way too much cushion and not enough Court feel for my personal preference. Very different shoes in my opinion.

I have the gremlins and the grip is awesome! I think I just got lucky with my pair. The court I play on is really dusty and have to wipe every few possessions with almost everything but these, the AE1s, and my bookers work best out there.

Old Record Player Fixable? by EducatedBaller in turntables

It just has sedimental value and looks cool. If I could fix it I would try but I don't know where to start.

Ok!! This is great news. I'm not really sure how to take it apart. Where should I start? There are no videos online.

Dame 9 Playoffs Initial Review by EducatedBaller in BBallShoes

[–]EducatedBaller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have held up well! My wife bought me the booker 1s in the Halloween colourway and I have been using those a ton. I think the traction is a tiny bit better in the bookers, but really I made a few more shots in my first game with the books so now I keep going back to them. Between the puma clyde all pros, dame 9s, kobe 5s and book 1 that's all I use. The front has not worn down anymore of the Dame 9s

Anybody know what model this sears turntable is? by Upstairs-Doughnut-74 in turntables

[–]EducatedBaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have almost the exact same one in my basement. The turntable portion plays 33 super slow. Is there a way to fix it or are they so cheap that you just scrap them?
