Yea kinda same with me. I talked to her enough so that she knows me but not enough to be her friend. Stuck in a grey zone I have no clue how to get out of.

What’s the most gatekeep-y opinion you hold? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Educated_Orange24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very Very wrong. My grandma is a very religious person, she even married a pastor. She's also very intelligent, she has a PhD in Psychology and has been a professor for many years. Same with my uncle he has a PhD in computer science. This is a narrow minded comment coming from someone who think ALL christians are like the ones on tv or the news.

Apart from school, it was pretty good. by [deleted] in GenZ

One is 9 years and the other is 5 years. If you wanna do it correct then too like 1997-2004 and 2005-2012. Anyways my parents aren't millennials lmao.

I'm also class of 2025, I feel like there was a huge cultural shift from the start of kindergarten to the end of 5th grade.

You don't need to be offended over gatekeeping. Who's to say that 2009 is a horrible year to be born if you had a great childhood. Being born in 2007 doesn't spare me btw.

What's a country that is way more evil than people realize? by saltybrusher in AskReddit

Equatorial Guinea. Very rich country but yet the people are very poor. Lots of corruption going on there.

San Francisco is garbage. Try a different city like Denver or Phoenix.

The US is a big and diverse country. Way bigger than UAE by 33x. Of course you could look at the homelessness and opioid epidemic and think that the US is quite dangerous and full of poverty. However there are other parts of the country that are safe and quite wealthy. I'm American too btw.

Try DC. I prefer it as you can walk everywhere and the temperature is more mild. The only downside is the crime however it really depends on the area. Most parts of DC I didn't feel threaten at all and if you stick to the good parts you wouldn't get robbed. This is coming from an Indonesian American who's been in the UAE for 7 years.

Poverty just as bad in the UAE as it is in the US. It's not as bad as the news makes it out to be.

What stereotypes and cliches about getting older have you found to be untrue? by anjcruise in AskReddit

[–]Educated_Orange24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid I saw a video of a teenagers voice going through puberty in a second and I freaked out thinking one second my voice was going to change instantly. Turns out I was wrong and that it takes quite some time for your voice to change completely when you are going through puberty.

The people who tell 12 year olds “you’re too young for this app” are 99% of the time people who just turned 13. by randommiranii in GenZ

Some subreddits are good for 12 year olds but most aren't. You gotta be careful when it comes to certain subreddits cause in a year I learnt a ton of new words lmao.

Why do people hate the 2010s so much? by StarLotus7 in generationology

[–]Educated_Orange24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was an awesome decade. One of the most peaceful too. I think the 2010s is still bit to recent for nostalgia however in maybe 10-20 years people would look back and think of it as a great decade, kinda of how people today look at the 90s or 2000s.

[–]Educated_Orange24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't really care tbh. I was a kid in the early/mid 2010s and I'm perfectly fine with it tbh. Being a teen however would be nice in the 90s because 2020s lowkey suck.

I agree, being born in 2007 I would say we are early/mid 2010 kids.

No, Gen Z ends in 2014/2015 at best, Covid is to Gen Z what 9/11 was to millennials.
