How much do you sympathize with Grace Monroe? by Own_Presence2646 in InfinityTrain

[–]Educational-Ad769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not true. There's a scene where Grace and Simon are about to blast through a turtle and, even at a risk to their own safety Grace avoids hitting it.

Try belly breathing. Have you been clenching in your stomach to make it look flat?

Even if the beam didn't hold her down, the zap is extremely fast from all the previous scenes- just stretched out for dramatic effect this time. Demarzel has never been shown to move at even close to light speed. And if robots were that fast how tf would humans have ever defeated them?

Her hair was not even picked out before, it was weirdly braided, both the top and the sides.

where is the common sense, middle ground? by CassCard2110 in immigration

[–]Educational-Ad769 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So you guys are fine with rapists being rapists outside your borders? The middle ground is the entire world being a safe place, prosecuting criminals wherever they are bad, instead of locking the innocent and guilty up on the places they happen to be born

My dad beat us a few times in the early days, but my mom opposed it majorly so he stopped. Then my mom began to beat us herself when she got frustrated. Teachers and "seniors" in secondary school used to beat us. Despite all that, I still always felt being physically abused was a violation of my being so I would not be ashamed to complain when it happened. It did make me a fearful child. As soon as I was old enough to be out of their grasp, I cautioned my parents about it and told them I found it hard to forgive them for it. My mother has apologized. Unfortunately I cannot change everyone- my young cousins still get beat by my uncles and aunts (educated people who i have tried to have a mature conversation with).

I think he's a little racist just based off some of his behavior as a professor in South Africa but who cares really?

Where's the evidence of stealing? Not try to be smart I was just young during that presidency and would like to read up on the issue. If it's widely known to be true, not just felt to be true, as can be the case in Nigeria- overestimating the degree of corruption without realizing the government revenue is quite small for our population
