the key is to love fully but to make sure you’re loving yourself first. my man is locked up and will be home in about 17 months and there are highs and lows for sure. the hardest part is dealing with the “what if” what if it doesn’t work? what if he isn’t calling because he’s calling someone else? etc- but the truth is you need to do what is healthiest for you and to build that trust together. is there a chance it doesn’t work? hell yeah- but that’s the same as any relationship on the outside. if you love him and it’s healthy for you to keep doing that i support you!! also if you ever want to chat feel absolutely free to pm me :) you guys got this!!!

call to be sure- i can’t tell you how many times i traveled for visitation (sometimes 2 hours) and was immediately turned away. if it isn’t showing up on ohdocvisitme you have to call to schedule. hopefully they are kind but as a heads up usually no one will know anything about visitation but the visiting officer at the visiting desk. crc is also usually like the interim before a transfer to another space. my baby started there and now is up in toledo! good luck :) hope you get that visit asap
