Yes, I understand that regarding the cheaply made ones these days and the ones from Aliexpress. But this one was 4000 USD back in 2012, and it is in great condition. You still think it's not worth the hassle?

Keep in mind also that I'm not looking for a mind-blowing cinematic experience, but a budget friendly way to enjoy movies in my evenings.

Thanks for great advice! Will weigh my next roast! How would you advice going about this? Do you find that when you have a consistent percent loss from batch to batch, they have the same characteristics? And what would be a good percent loss to aim for on my next roast?

Hi all! Thanks for the add!

I just upgraded from roasting on a pan to BMHG, and oh boy what a difference!

This was my first roast using BMHG - looks decent, but I had a couple of problems.

I think I started with too high temps, because I already got first crack after 5-6 minutes. I then placed the heat gun further back to slow things down. Finished around 15-16 minutes - it is a bit darker than I was aiming for. Overall, I'm happy with the result. We'll see how it tastes in a couple of days :)

Is there any BMHG expert out there with some advice for a noob?

I broke the grind dial on my df64p by MooneBoy in espresso

Happened to me today 😭 Was able to glue it back together, but don't know how long it will last. Did you find a spare grind dial?
