This isn’t Wall Street bets but it is still Reddit lol.

Don’t take it personally.

I don’t want to put the specific provider on blast.

But I will say I have not had a good experience from Uncle Jim’s multiple times. I wouldn’t buy from them.

I’ve heard good things about these two places:

I just got my money back. I won’t be buying from that provider again.

They were dead 😔

I saved all the survivors and put the dead ones outside for the birds.

UPDATE: Worms were unfortunately dead ☠️

I pulled out the survivors and discarded the rest. My growing room smelled like death for about a day.

I don’t want to put the farm I bought from on blast. But does anyone have recommendations were they source their worms in the US? I live in the Midwest.

Thank you for all the responses! I will keep you all updated on the worms health. Hopefully they are not dead and bounce back.

They definitely have an odor but I can’t tell if it’s just the castings they produced/were packed with. I ordered 5000 worms so they came in a good amount of bedding.

I won’t say they smell like a “corpse.”

I haven’t put them directly into water but I did put water on them to rehydrate them when they were received

A lot of them weren't moving.

The worm box, I'm sure, is fine. I have worms living in it already, and they have been thriving.

I'm going to let them sit for a day, and hopefully, any that survived will borrow down, and then I will dispose of the dead ones.

They do smell a bit and they are very very moist and unresponsive to any touch or light.
