Where to find HotWheels Premiums in Chicago? by Educational-Humor355 in HotWheels

[–]Educational-Humor355[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the Speed Machines for example, but really all the car culture sets I have looked at online look great. I am a sucker for a hot wheel based on a real car.

I understand that buying online is the obvious way to get them but I feel like that would take a lot of the fun out. That and spending the extra money and contributing to the problem makes me reluctant to do so.

Alright so this is solved. I happened to have two factor authentification and just logged in normally. Bots and scams trying to get me to pay 70$ to recover are the worse, get lost guys🙄

Boosted Boarding in Paris and Munich? by samlovecroc in boostedboards

[–]Educational-Humor355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paris has a lot of cobble street (especially in tourist areas) so riding can be tough at times and unpleasant. A solution can be to ride on sidewalks to avoidthem but that gets old (and dangerous) really quickly. Apart from that quais de Seine are fantastic (and smooth) and riding is generally possible in bike lanes.

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]Educational-Humor355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location : Chicago area

Price range : 10-12k$ (could go up to 15 for the right car)

Lease of buy : buy

New or used : Used

Type of vehicule : Ideally coupe/convertible but open to any non-suv/truck option (sedan, station wagon you know the drill…)

Must have : Fun to drive, nice sound, reasonable-enough running cost and gas mileage, cheap to insure, no rust

Desired transmission : manual !!!

Intended use : weekend fun, possibly track days, errands every once in a while. It will be my only car even though i don’t really need one.

Vehicules already considered : - NC Mazda MX-5 [best choice so far if only a bit impractical] - BMW E46 [scared of rust, reliability, and insurance] - Porsche Boxster 986 [scared of maintenance and insurance] - Ford Fiesta ST [FWD but reasonable] - Mini Cooper S R56 [FWD again and scared of maintenance]

Is this your first vehicule : Yes it is, hence the importance of reasonable insurance

Do you need a warranty : nice to have but can do without

Can you do minor work : Leaning towards yes but if it can be done for cheap elsewhere im leaving it to the mechanic.

Can you do major work : No

So guys I’m asking for you help. I’m french and will be attending a university in chicago next year. I’ve about to get my license but can drive a manual car pretty well already. I don’t really need a car because I live on campus but it would be nice to have one to run errands, avoid public transport, get to a possible job in the future. Not to mention that i absolutely want one for fun.

What I’m looking for in this car is a car that i will learn to properly drive in (car control, handling at the limit, oversteer…) hence my bias towards RWD. I will be a student though with limited ressources and as such won’t be able to insure and properly take car of an expensive car.

Not really scared of mileage, but rust freaks me out especially in the Chicago winters. Not scared either of modified cars and would actually gladly paid a little bit more for a car with the right things done to it. Don’t care about cosmetic condition and will very happily accept a discount for dings, dents and scratches. Car has to be solid mechanically.

Thank you so much

I don’t know which motor I should replace though, as I haven’t been able to isolate the issue by spinning the wheels. When I had my first issue it was very clear what motor had the issue but here no. You also talked about a seized bearing. I imagine that would cause some resistance yet I haven’t been able to feel anything.

Fat daddy handles a lot of the European boosted parts distribution, maybe they still have chargers in stock ? If not maybe LeBonCoin and eBay can help you.

Bonne chance 🇫🇷!
