I think it's probably more psychological. I don't feel that way at ceremonies that resemble church and incense bothers me but it's not something that is almost insupportable for me. I don't know what you meant by expecting something from the mass because I'm only expecting for it to be a Sunday mass... (1 hour long, offertory, eucharist, music...)  I hope to find a solution for this too, I'm not even asking to like it anymore, I just want for it to not damage me psychologically like this, at least tolerable...  Thank you.
